actually genuinely don't know how to tell you that I don't think he ever truly changed. good behavior even for an extended period doesn't equal genuine change. I'm sorry.
Excerpt from the book Why Does He Do That? by Lundy Bancroft
Reading about abusive men and the way they think. Very unsettling and an incredible book so far. Here are my very professional notes.
what book is this?
This is from “Why Does He DO That” by Lundy Bancroft.
Search “why does he do that lundy bancroft pdf” for a link to the book***
***the author made this book free online on purpose so women who needed it could access it. Also, he recognized that for women in these circumstances, having a paperback copy of this book sitting around in their home might not be safe for them. This is not a situation where I’m encouraging you to read a pirated copy of an author’s book; the author wanted to make this freely accessible to women who needed it.
Whose stuff does he break? is such an insight. A tragedy that this dynamic continues so many years after we started talking about domestic abuse

you used to be able to go into a tag after you watched a little movie and find a gorgeous little gifset or photoset or 12 and now you're lucky if you can wade through all the xreader posts to find even one we used to be a website
....not to mention all the goddamned essays and term papers about how everyone FEEEELS about everything and everyone's hot take on why their side wins.

People have a lot of issues with love on the spectrum for very good reasons, but I love watching it and I love the people on it and I like that it makes me feel more comfortable showing I'm autistic.
I stim now more than I ever have and it's something that makes me really happy and relaxed. I masked all the time when I lived with my parents and I still do mostly with friends but when I'm at home I stim a lot, like vocal stims or wiggling more when I'm excited or whatever. I remember in the season with Tina and Pari, Tina said she was trying to be 'more autistic' which really hit home for me. I used to stim as a kid (like I used to spin, a LOT) but as I've grown older I stopped and instead just was weird and had a lot more meltdowns/shut downs instead. I'm a lot better at self regulating now and it comes with stimming lol. It's also really helpful to have a partner who is probably also on the spectrum and is just super chill with my shenanigans lol.
