Neurotypicals love to laugh about how annoying they think autistic people are.
I’m turning this shit cannon right back onto you so you can smell your own stink.
You create these confusing social hierarchies and mock us when we can’t make sense of it.
You take the things we say and twist in meanings that aren’t there, then say things that can mean many things and mock us when we assume the wrong meaning.
You make environments too hostile for us and then blame us when we struggle or can’t function in that environment, but we are expected to suck it up anyway.
You fucking bully us for our special interests and stimming while you take our stim toys and turn them into some cool accessory for you.
You say it’s cool to be passionate about something and then call us cringey when we express our passion about a special intrerest.
You speak over us and silence us when we try to stand up for ourselves.
You expect us to accommodate your every shitty whim, but us asking you for a minuscule accommodation is demanding too much and selfish and oh how dare we expect special treatment.
You abuse and murder us because you can’t be bothered to take care of those of us who need extensive support.
You throw functioning labels at us and dehumanize us when you see fit, especially those of us who can’t make our communications understood to speak up about it.
You dismiss us when we speak for ourselves and diminish our lived experiences in favor of what you THINK autism is like.
You take our most private and humiliating moments and use them to get pity on the internet and tell us to shut up and mind our own business when we tell you that’s abusive and wrong.
You shove bleach up our asses, refuse to vaccinate your kids because you’re afraid of having kids like us, you push us into therapies that lead to PTSD later, you zap us like dogs and hurl money at organizations hellbent on destroying us, and in the same breath you say you love us and want what’s best for us.
You call us annoying when we express how depressed, tired, scared and angry we are, or you call us ungrateful for not falling over and kissing your ass for not killing us in our sleep.
You fucking co-opt our voices.
And you don’t fucking listen.
That’s why neurotypicals are annoying.
