maybe i'm a little too woke but i do think we need to stop making trans people 'perform' their gender of choice. yes, absolutely, cis women shouldn't need to wear makeup or shave or have long hair to be perceived as women, but if you think that then you have to think the same thing about trans women. cis men should be welcomed, if not encouraged, to wear their hair long or try on makeup or buy crop tops and skirts, but if you think that then you have to think the same thing about trans men. trans women should be allowed to have mustaches and go out in suits. trans men should be allowed to grow their hair long and go out in dresses. and yes, they still have the right to not be misgendered. you still have to call that man a man, even though he has false eyelashes and C cups. i know we're still in a world where women are shunned for having leg hair and big muscles, but you have to understand that the same stereotypes are being applied to trans women. trans people need to have the right to wear whatever clothes they want to wear without being misgendered, just like cis people do. that's equality.

I see you as a walking, talking (and talking, and talking, and never stopping) proof of a particular belief of mine: there is a large enough ammount of people on our planet that nearly any strawman or caricature you come up with is an actual, real person, in existence. lwk might be controversial but trans men aren’t as privileged as people believe, especially ones that are pre-T and/or don’t pass well. The republic (unfortunately) decides what is a man and what isn’t and trans men aren’t considered men by it. Trans men do not always have “male privilege” because according to the patriarchy they’re still a woman!

Fucking hell can I get a day without hearing about people justifying bigotry, when you say men that also implies trans men but we are not men-lite and basically whitewashing us into a heteronormative leaning like I get the struggles of my trans sisters but be blamed for your own oppression or acting disgusted about men isn't it.
