Whistling Giant
Four thin spires reach up into the sky, tiny creatures run up and down each one, they reach up far, with the trees as grass, as grass is to trees.
A beautiful, almost haunting, choir of a thousand tiny blowing melodies call down. One of the spires begins to move, as it lifts up and begins an incomprehensible step forward, as the tiny creatures rush back up the spires, so as to not be left behind.
This place has been scavenged enough and will need to recover, that is ok, there is plenty more forest and meadow that wishes to house this giant.
The little creatures pay the last of their tributes into the mouth with which this giant eats, and huddle into its fur and tiny caverns within its body. The wind is strong up here.
The neck of this creature stretches almost as far as the legs do to the body, and it whistles. The sky and land trust the giant, and the giant trusts them. The sky breaths for it, the wind passes through the mouths that pass through the neck, and they whistle as the wind breathes.
Atop this giant is a head. It surveys the land around it whilst it can, on this clear day. It spots a nice lake, sure to have many delights for its inhabitants.
It finishes one step and starts the next. Only a few more steps to go.
