i was on a plane re-reading book one and i sketched out this absolute legend

Wayhaven Valentine's Day 1

Honey

Farah's cheerful demeanour is always a nice way to start my day, but it's extra special when she greets me with one of Haley's pastries in hand, golden eyes sparkling in the early morning light that filters in through the windows of my flat.

"Look at you bright and early," I murmur, shuffling towards her to wrap her in my arms. She flashes a bright smile at me, teasingly dodging my embrace to dance back into the kitchenette, "I have breakfast!"

"Did you also bring coffee?"

"Of course I did, babe. And I got it from Haley since I know how much you like her coffee."

"You are. The best girlfriend, oh my stars."

The coffee is sweet and warm as it slides down my throat, with way too much creamer and a twist of caramel, seeping energy into my very core. The pastries on the table — and the one in her hand — are glazed with honey, dripping down the sides in a delicious tumble.

Farah's laugh is quiet, fangs gently grazing my neck when she presses a kiss to my skin. "Happy Valentine's day, Birdie."

"Happy Valentine's day, love."

thinking about how I think each member of UB would romanticize and be in awe of the little indent left on their finger (or even better the detective’s finger) from wearing a ring too long that seems to take forever to go back to normal if they were married to the detective and had to take their ring off for some reason
