Hello! You can call me Datura or Veronica! (I'd prefer Datura on here though) I'm 18 and I'm an artist and a writer! I post my art and writing on here when I can!
My media interests are mainly (as of right now) analog horror (mainly The Walten Files), and my ocs!
My general interests are mainly psychology! I find how the brain works facinating.
I have a few original stories, but i have not posted about all of them online yet. But here's a list of them:
A Path to Recovery -> link (when I post about it)
Divine Madness -> link
(I'll add more as I remember them)
My other socials (or other places to find me) are:
Here's an info post over the ocs I've been fixating on (most info under the cut)
" By definition; Divine Madness is referred to as an unconventional, outrageous, unexpected, or unpredictable behavior linked to religious or spiritual pursuits. While social psychologist Milton Płaczek (PLAH-check) had not been familiar with the idea prior, it was something that grew to fascinate him.
In the week of July 6th, 1959; Płaczek gathered together 3 separate men who all had one thing in common. They all had similar delusions of divinity.
The first man, Clyde Windrow, a farmer who had delusions of being God. Joseph Leclerc, a disregarded writer and, similar to Clyde, has delusions of being a God. And finally Leon Sauveur. A world war II veteran and college dropout, who had delusions that a religious figure was communicating with him.
Milton's plan was this: have these three men with varying delusions of divinity have daily interactions with each other, mainly to answer one question. What would happen, if three men who had similar delusions interacted daily? Would they get along? Would they fight? And more importantly; would they recover from their delusions?
These are all questions that Płaczek wanted to answer. And he would take notes about everything that happened within the study. Even if it damaged his dynamic with the men. "
This is probably going to be a comic-type thing eventually. Just currently I'm still working on the story, characterization and everything. And I'm still actively in school, so it'll be a bit

Not only did I hear the news that Epic the Musical is being turned into an animated film yesterday (which is WILD btw I'm so happy for Jorge and his team)
But I also got the most INCOMPREHENSIBLE hate comment I've ever seen on my video critiquing it
I haven't been able to post because of school but I need to get this thought out of my head
I've been looking into "The Three Christs of Ypsilanti" case study (basically a guy made three men who all had schizophrenia and believed themselves to be Jesus Christ interact with each other for two-three years) and this fucking thing is the embodiment of the "i can fix him" mentality/hj
The fucking guy that was doing all of this basically tried everything he could to try and change their beliefs, going as far as MANIPULATING THEM through letters. Not surprisingly, that only fucked up the men more.
Im still actively reading through it but. Fucking hell
The fucking teasers from yesterday caused me to not get this fucking image out of my head so here
There really is no context. The most context i can give is Jack tries to keep it together while getting ready for work and Rosemary tries desperately to comfort him
I'll never be over the fucking "everything is fine" sticky note in one of the newest teasers
JACK. BUDDY. JUST LET YOURSELF FUCKING GRIEVE MAN. YOU ARE GOINF TO HURT YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY IF YOU KEEP THIS UP.
I swear with every new teaser this man is in just gives me more evidence that Jack is going to have a full on breakdown at some point
If he does have a breakdown at some point, its probably going to be loud and awful. Because of the fact that he's holding in all of these negative emotions, and the only way they are even slightly being let out are possibly due to Jack lashing out, which he tries not to do anyway. Its going to be so uncomfortable to watch, in the best way possible
The fact that Jack most likely wont let himself grieve either due to work or taking care of his family makes me so sad. Im honestly wondering if the confirmed scene between Jack and Rosemary is going to be them talking about this, about hiw they're coping with this
If you're ever curious on what I think "bon" and Jack's dynamic is just listen to "you're nothing without me" from city of angels
They fucking hate each other, but are forced to work together (correction; Jack is forced to work with "bon" and hates it, "bon" just likes to fuck with him)
Here's my Wonderland design for Jack (+ art of "bon" being a manipulative dick/j)
Info on it under the cut because its a lot
1. Theory context; Both Jack and whoever "bon" is are possessing the bon animatronic. And because of Jacks mental state when he died (him feeling so much pain and rage over what happened to his kids and himself), he's basically a shell of his former self. And "bon" has been using that to his advantage. "Bon" has been manipulating Jack into killing everyone, under the guise that Jack could be with his family again. With Jack doing the murders, "bon" is the one making everyone "beautiful".
With Jack not being in a good mental space, it's obvious that he doesn't want to do this, hence why the bon animatronic seems to cry after every murder. Jack's just so angry and desperate to have his family back, that he would do anything to get them back. Even if that means listening to "bon".
2. I feel like Jack died in an altercation with Felix. I think that one day, June 11th, Jack just got up, grabbed a gun and made his way to the restaurant. With the mission of killing Felix. The man who caused all the pain and suffering to him and his family.
When Felix eventually got to the restaurant, Jack almost immediately pointed the gun at Felix. Felix, who was horrified by this point, was desperately pleading for his life, begging Jack to think this through. But Jack had already made up his mind. Felix, in his panic, desperately tried to knock the gun out of Jack's hand, which ended up with them just fighting for it.
The altercation ended with the gun going off and Jack being shot in the head. As Felix panicked after accidentally shooting his friend, decided to hide Jack's body in the Bon animatronic.
3. He's almost constantly pissed off. The only times he isn't seething is when he's with his family. He's constantly angry due to the way he died revolving around brain damage, and because of his mental state when he died, with him being so emotionally distressed over what happened to his kids
4. Dude fucking hates "bon". The only reason he's even working with him is because "bon" promised to bring his family together. If Jack had it his way, he wouldn't be anywhere near him.
5. He's also constantly crying. Not full on weeping, but his face is always covered in tears.
