A visit to the past… the mystery begins to unfold.
Okay…i haven’t read mha fanfic in about two years but I found myself searching on Ao3 and came across your fic with Akatani and Izuku.
Your work is amazing! I just caught up on the second part and there are tears in my eyes.
My heart breaks for Akatani. You write him so well. I’m really glad that you make him into a fully fleshed character as opposed as a shadow of Izuku.
I can’t wait to read more of your work. And expect comments from me because you’re absolutely phenomenal.
I hope your Masters/PhD is treating you well (as well as any college program let alone those two😂).
I really appreciate the hard work you do!!!! ♾️ kudos.
Ahhh!!!!????? Thank you so much??? I have been reading your comments on ao3 as they've been coming through (i read every single comment, even if i don't reply) and those alone have brought me so much joy! You and someone else picked this up roughly at the same time and read it through, haha, so someone must have recced it somewhere??
I am now going to go on an epic ramble about mikumo i am so sorry ive been activated i keep meaning to write more of him but i'm so busy, please accept this in lieu of an update. this is over 1k words beneath the cut oh my god i could have just written half the chapter. directors commentary, i guess??
WIP Wednesday
From the twinfic:
Gaon was excited to start learning a new kitchen. Yagob had told him that Elijah and Yohan had sent him lists of ingredients to have on hand when they arrived, so Gaon knew he’d find what he needed. Yagob was up and dressed already. “You just got here, you don’t have to —” “But I want to. I like cooking. And when’s the last time you had a home-cooked Korean meal?” Yagob just blinked at him. “Yagob-ssi?” “I was trying to remember. Probably when I was 19. Before I left Korea. When we still had Cook.” “Ah, so you didn’t have to endure Nanny’s cooking,” said Gaon, to lighten the atmosphere. “Is it as bad as I’ve heard?” “It really is.” Yagob said he would supervise, but his idea of supervision was quite hands-on. Rather than sit at the table, he leaned against the counter just inches from Gaon’s elbow. He hooked his chin over Gaon’s shoulder to watch him sharpen the cleaver he’d bought new for their arrival and hadn’t used — didn’t even know how to use. It had the triangular shape Gaon preferred, rounded a little on the cutting edge so that he could rock it like a western chef’s knife as well as chop Asian style. The Kangs knew what he liked. The knowledge warmed him comfortably. Uncomfortably, Yagob was warming his back. He gave Gaon an audible sniff and announced, “You smell like hyung.” “We’re sharing a room,” Gaon reminded him. “I’ve lived in close quarters with Yohan before,” said Yagob. “Did you get any sleep? He’s awfully restless.” Before Gaon could answer, Yagob continued, “He wakes up horny as hell, too.” Gaon’s mind presented him with a vivid, multi-sensory replay of Yohan jerking off in the shower: the heat, the humidity, the smell of soap and shampoo, the hiss of the water, one so-soft-it-was-probably-imagined groan. Suddenly, Gaon’s back was cold. He turned and saw Yohan hauling Yagob over to the table by the back of his shirt. He tossed his brother bodily into a chair. Neither brother looked angry. Yohan showed only mild annoyance on his face and Yagob was grinning, happy to have attention, negative or positive. “If you make Gaon cut himself feeding us I’ll chop your hands off,” said Yohan, in a conversational tone. Yagob made a dismissive noise and slumped over the table, chin in his hands. Yohan was wearing one of his robes. His hair was damp and loose, long enough to brush his cheekbones. Without asking, he started measuring rice into the rice cooker. Gaon watched him try to wash it out of the corner of his eye. “You need to press your hand into the curve of the bowl more firmly,” Gaon directed. “You’re letting lots of grains pass by when you’re pouring off the water.” Gaon watched Yohan swirl fresh water in and try to strain it with his hand a second time. “Hoobae,” Gaon said. Yohan snapped to attention with a surprised smile. “Maybe a newbie like you should just use the strainer, eh?” Grinning now, Yohan dipped his head as if to a superior and sing-songed, “Yes, sunbae.” “Oh, I see how it is,” groaned Yagob, behind them. “I can’t flirt with your not-boyfriend but you can.” Yohan ignored his brother in favor of asking Gaon, sweetly, “Sunbae? Where is the strainer?” Gaon had a good idea of where everything was already, and answered, pointing, “That cupboard, hoobae.” “God, it’s too early for this shit,” grumbled Elijah, as she wheeled into the room.
Daughter of the Sea
New Fic alert!
I have been writing this in my head for over ten years. Actually sitting down and putting it on paper has been more emotional and fulfilling than I could've ever imagined. Meet Angie Jackson, a 14-year old who finds out she is a demigod and gets more than she ever asked for. Thrown into a world of monsters and gods and titans on the brink of war, with her twin brother (who she had no clue about) MIA from his Quest, she must learn quickly how to become the hero everyone expects her to be, before its too late.
This is a retelling of Battle of the Labyrinth and The Last Olympian where Percy isn't the only child of Poseidon, and doesn't have to shoulder his burdens alone.
I love Angie, and her story, dearly, and I have poured so much of myself into her. I hope you fall in love with her and her story as much as I have. Originally, I created Angie to play a very large role in the Heroes of Olympus series. However, I realized it made more sense for her to come in halfway through the PJO series. This fic (Daughter of the Sea) is the prequel work to the core of Angie's story, which is in HOO. In this story, you will see as Angie learns who she is, comes into her own, and becomes inseparable from her brother. In the next, you will see her become the hero she is fated to be. Without further ado, I welcome you into the world of Andromeda Jackson, Daughter of the Sea.
Chapter 1: I Walk into a Fireplace (Read on AO3 here)
Look, I didn’t know I was a half-blood.
Growing up, a lot of adults would always call me special . They would gush to my adopted mom at parent-teacher conferences about what a hard worker I was, how I was creative and a great student and always ahead of my classmates. Apparently, I was a pleasure . To the other kids, though, I wasn't precious or special. I was just weird. A freak. A teacher’s pet and goody-two-shoes. So I got used to a double life of gold stars and straight A’s while getting pushed off the monkey bars.
Recess was always the worst part of my day, and now that I was older, so was lunch. That was the only time I would ever get in trouble, even though I tried my best to keep my head down and stay calm when the other kids would pick on me. Sometimes I just couldn’t help it, though, and I would lose control and end up in the principal's office for giving my bully a bloody nose or ripping out a chunk of their hair. When asked why I had resorted to violence, I would reply with something along the lines of,
“Suzie said my mom wasn’t my real mom,”
Or,
“Ally said ‘no wonder your real parents didn’t want you, freak!’”
The principal would then give me a sad, almost sympathetic look, write a referral, and I would cry the whole way home.

Last Time: The group decides to celebrate having the hotel to themselves with a pool party. Estela and Tyler had a little heart to heart under the stars, and Taylor saw something strange in the jungle that Jake tried to help her forget.
Chapter 3: Trails and Tails
She woke up the next morning, Jake was gone. Slipping into some clothes she found the group downstairs, chaos reigning. Raj had made everyone his famous 'hangover cure’ breakfast, no one had time to eat it though because Lila came in with big news, she had figured out what happened to the guests. They were at some emergency shelter, only no one knew where exactly that shelter was.
“I'm in.” Jake said, everyone looking at him confused.
“You said you were going to look for the shelter. I was supposed to be on a beach in Mexico by now, everyday I spend here is money lost.”
“Me too! I'd love to see the island.” Quinn giggled turning to Tyler who was looking for Estela. This kind of thing seemed right up her alley.
“Are you going to come Tyler?” She rested her hand gently on his arm, but he ignored her.
“Whaddya say Princess? Are you coming?” She could feel everyone's eyes on her, she couldn't stop thinking about the tiger, the way it stalked her in the bushes. Her hands were getting sweaty, Tyler watched her closely, worried about her.
“I...uh.” Jake grinned.
“It's okay if you're too scared. You can stay here with the rest of the goof troop.”
“We should stay Tay.” Tyler leaned over to whisper. She scowled at both of them, she wasn't some scared little kid.
“Wait! I'm coming.”
“Why?” Diego asked.
“Aren't you at least a little curious as to why no one came back from the shelter yet?”
“Yeah, but that doesn't mean we need to go looking. It's horror movie 101, but I'll go just so I can say I told you so when something attacks us.”
“I’m going too then.” Tyler jumped up as the rest of the group was getting ready to leave.
“I think we've got enough Boy Scout.” Jake grinned.
“Tyler can protect me!” Quinn giggled grabbing his arm.
“Who are we to stand in the way of love Jake?” Taylor teased her brother. Strolling through the forest, Quinn began to admire the brightly colored flowers, they seemed to be glowing unnaturally. She leaned in to smell them while Jake took a step back, something about overhearing stories in the right dive bars and not trusting anyone after running secret government missions. Taylor took a step back from the flowers wary, Jake pulled her closer to him.
“Good call Princess.” His arm snaked around her waist as they walked together. Tyler's hands balled into fists as they walked, catching glances of Jake's hand sliding a little lower, as Diego grilled him about Estela.
“Oh no! This doesn't make any sense.” Lila frowned looking around.
“What doesn't make sense?” Taylor asked.
“The shelter should be right here according to the signs!” Aleister rolled his eyes annoyed.
“Great. The tour guide is lost. What do they even pay you for anyways?”
“Tactical scouting 101 kids. Get to high ground. See that rocky cliff over there? I'm checking it out.”
“Ooh that sounds like a waterfall nearby. I'll bet the shelter is near it.” Quinn piped up.
“I really think we should stick to the trail, the shelter should be just up ahead.” Everyone was bickering about why their idea was better and it was getting old.
“Why don't we split up!” Taylor suggested.
“I'm staying here on the trail.” Diego said, Aleister plopped down indicating that he wasn't going anywhere.
“Want to keep me company Princess?” Jake winked. Tyler jumped up to interject but didn't have time.
“That'd be fun.” They ran off and Tyler tried to chase after them, but Quinn stepped in his path smiling at him.
“Want to come with me? Keep me safe?” Quinn giggled. Tyler rolled his eyes and let her drag him off.
@itscapokaybye showed me this yesterday. Which one of y’all did this? lol. (Thanks for doing it, by the way)
