Can I get some college AU headcanons for Kantoph?

We’re gonna pretend that this is a new ask

College AU Kantoph headcanons go! Assuming it’s like a nonbending, modern AU for this one…

Kanto gets around uni with an electric scooter. It’s eco friendly, but it’s also probably the reason him and Toph meet. He nearly runs her over ope.

Kantoph love to “study” at the coffee shop. They usually are playfully kicking each other until they have to leave for the ~horizontal tango~

I feel like Toph has this lavish apartment courtesy of her parents, but whenever they hang out, they’re in Kanto’s small and dingy place. She finds it homey and loves that the place smells like him. Spots, her guide dog, is not a fan. Also, he has a twin bed which means constant cuddling for them <3

I don’t think they have the same major, but might be in like. The same college or something… but Kanto will forgo his schedule to take Toph to her classes. He gets carried away and just loves going on walks with her.

I feel like during senior year, Kantoph find a cat and Kanto /insists/ on keeping it. Toph is very exasperated but she lets this all happen because she loves the goof. And no, the apartment complex does not know he has a kitty—

Their weekends usually consist of them drinking and hanging out with their friends in an apartment. Toph’s senses don’t /love/ bars and clubs, but there’s a rare occasion where they go out! And she likes sporting events, loves a good reason to get rowdy and scream at her favorite team.

They don’t go out on dates often while they’re together in school, but they’ll run around campus, pull some pranks, and take Spots (and Fluffy the cat) on walks and to parks, and they like to take naps in the quad lawn <3

Tokka: (My Hand Was) The One You Reached For

“Hey, T,” Sokka had called out as he let himself into Toph’s apartment with the key she’d given him ages ago. It was dark and quiet, which was not very uncharacteristic of her but it somehow felt odd. The silence gave him the heebee jeebees for some reason, but he ignored his discomfort and lit up an oil lamp (a lamp because Toph insisted that she had no reason to have lights installed being that wouldn’t ever need them—he supposed that she had a point) that brought light to the pitch-black room, then settled the bags of food and booze onto the countertop in her kitchen.  He whistled a tune to himself as he pulled all of the contents out of the bags. Then, he paused, wondering why Toph hadn’t reared her head into the kitchen or sitting room, or why she hadn’t given him some crude remark about how late he was to their very routine night in. Sokka let out a huff and hollered, “Toph Beifong, you better get your ass out here right now or I’m assuming that I get this spread of artery-clogging food all to myself!” There was an easy smile on his face as he expected her to sneak up on him and plant a punch between his shoulder blades. But she didn’t. She didn’t, Sokka realized as he turned around to look into the sitting room, because she was laying on her stone floor in an unnatural position, in a pool of her own blood.

Kantoph: It's Called a Spiral for a Reason

One can’t blame her for trying to do the right thing for someone who she considers a friend; someone who she holds in great esteem, though she would never admit such a thing to him because it’ll only inflate his ego further; someone for whom she has brushed off feelings in favor of a professional and adult relationship. Or friendship, rather. Or maybe partnership. Partnership is a safe word. The thing is that Toph isn’t much of a feelings person. Sure, she’ll hear you out, listen to your pity party, offer some seemingly off-handed and crude advice that, upon reflection, is probably the best kind of advice you’ll ever receive, but she doesn’t like stewing in all of it. She’s there for you, then moves on, and then tries to help you move on.  And the precise way she planned on doing that with Kanto was getting him drunk off his face.  It’s usually her go-to when it comes to the people she cares about, and they tend to go for it. Sokka always does, Katara pretends she doesn’t want to yet ends up knee-deep in a case of plum wine, Aang is too polite to ever refuse anything ever, and Zuko, while reluctant at first, ends up giving into a wild night of drinking and mild sobbing if his woes warrant it. So why not try it on her friend-slash-partner-slash-object of her recent lust, Kanto?

What are some headcanons that you have for Jian and Kanto? I know Jian is a mama’s boy, but I always love thinking about him and his ba <3

Hello hello, Twinkles, happy to provide some ~fluffy~ Kanto and Bub (Jian) headcanons :D

Quick refresher note for those interested in le Kantophy adventures: Jian is the youngest of seven, he has six older sisters, and is a mama's boy. Also, surprise! He's a firebender. Thank Kanto's mysterious genes for that. Oh, and most of his family calls him Bub because, well. He's a bub.

Both Kanto and Jian love plants, and often the easiest way for Kanto to get on his good side is to take him out to the garden so they can plant and cut some flowers for Mama. She likes the ones that smell nice so they have lots nice smelling plants <3

Kanto knows that Jian prefers it when Toph picks him up after daycare or school, so when he knows it's gonna be a Thing with Bub about school pickup, Kanto tries his best to make the afternoon really fun. Kind of as a bribe so that maybe he'll start liking Kanto more LOL. But he takes him to the park, they get ice cream, lots of fun stuff just the two of them. And at the end of the day, Bub usually tells Toph he had fun LOL

I think when Jian's a bit older (but not too old because he's always baby), Kanto teaches him how to style his hair so it's not so unruly. Jian is Kanto's clone, so they have the same hair and it curls in random places so he tries to help him keep it under control (even tho Kanto himself barely knows how lol)

Jian and Kanto often get frightened easily (usually at the hands of Su and her lil sister minions), so when the girls are pulling pranks or chaos is in the air, Kanto picks up Bub and they find a good hiding spot so they aren't tormented.

When they find out Jian's a firebender, it kind of messes with Kanto a bit, just because he doesn't really know his family lineage because his parents died when he was young. And also, he has some issues with fire... it takes some time, but I think eventually, Kanto learns to help Bub with his firebending, and even tries to teach him some moves that could be applied to his element.

Often, Jian goes to Toph for help or to protect him because she's Mama. But if she's not around, Kanto's a good substitute. Kanto doesn't hesitate to pick up Bub and figure out what's wrong or what's scaring him, even though the whole time Bub is just asking where Mama is pls. But Bub appreciates that Baba is big and tall and and fight bad guys too.

What makes Jian and Kanto such a cute duo is that they really are like twins. Jian is a mini Kanto, but the two of them deny it completely. Both of them snore, both will tilt their head a certain way when they question something, both have a similar sneeze, they like the same things (like badgermoles!!), they even talk similarly. But do they admit it? Nope. They think everyone in the house is silly for even thinking that they're the same.
