“Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier” fanart in the big 2026 is insane
“I want to be a cat”
“What?”
“Fuck you”
Is one of the funniest moments in all of Starkid and it needs to get more recognition.
My favorite part of Jeff Blim's performance in any starkid show is when he says "It's bliming time" and he blims all over the place
“this is all you fault jafar” vs “you’re fucking useless paul” vs “FUCK YOU TADIUS” vs “webby is a stupid BITCH” vs “butt OUT chasity”
We really don't talk about the princess from Twisted making everyone a princess often enough because , when you really think about it, she abolished both the monarchy and the concept of gender all at once in a very 'with everyone super, noone will be' kind of way.
Just finished watching "Twisted" from Starkid! I was kinda not really into the idea of it, but I watched it anyway and I do NOT regret. I like the golden age disney movies (obviously) and Wicked is literally my favourite musical, of course I loved it.... But there is one particular thing I want to appreciate in this post.
THIS MAN:
DYLAN SAUNDERS.
HOW CAN HE BE SO FUCKING TALENTED. OH MY GOD.
Of course I noticed him on the other shows, he has great comedy timing, but I have never saw him playing the lead role, and man HE FUCKING DESERVES IT.
At the beggining I was "they're trying to make Jafar an Elphaba? Good reference but nah, I don't think it's gonna work" , and there I was screaming internally "NO, YOU GET YOUR ASS HERE AND BRING BACK HIS WIFE 😭". Not only because of the good writing, but also because Dylan makes him like a silly kind guy, dad vibes, great vocals, and REALLY impacting emotional scenes. Jesus when he says "first, I lost her to Sultan, then, I lost her to heaven", then he lifts his head and ONE SINGLE TEAR rolls down his face, is so fucking heartbreaking, and dude he is in theater, he didn't need to cry for real (people sitting in the back definetly couldn't see the tear), he just did it because he can and he wanted to show it, I guess.
I was thinking "nah, I don't think I have a personal favourite Starkid actor/actress, they're all too good", and it's true they're all too good, but after Twisted I'm really inclined to say Dylan is my favourite, that subtle acting skills and such a good voice, man I wanna steal it...
As an actress myself (I'm currently studying to become a professional one soon!) all that I just listed is really impressive and something I look up to, watching Starkid musicals has been a great study for me haha, I hope to one day become a professional that can at least be compared to any of them (and if one day I feel that I've reached Dylan's level, I will legitly cry.)

Old guard StarKid fans and post-Hatchetfield StarKid fans might have their differences, but at the end of the day, we always set those differences aside and agree that Achmed fucked a tiger.
