Aaaaay, I’ve decided to start sharing some of my art.
I always do art for fun; it’s something I will always love doing.
I sometimes do art to express specific emotions, sometimes to support a cause or create art in support of something I believe in.
I love seeing what other people create.
I think we can all agree that the sharing of art is pretty fundamental. It’s good to create just for the sake of making something you or others enjoy. Being able to that and to make a difference in some way, to be able to positively impact the world around you with art that you create is an amazing thing. What artist doesn’t strive for that. You could impact people and the planet through pieces that use recycled or sustainable materials, using profits as donations, advocating and spreading awareness for a cause in your art, or simply connecting with someone. A person that could be anywhere in the world and has seen your art and has felt it and understands, and maybe it comforts them, or lights a fire in them. Art can conquer nations.
Anyone can make art that can influence change and I would love to be someone that is in a position to help other people and to make a difference, but I think I get scared sometimes that everything I make has to mean something or /be/ something. And, I have, let’s call it ‘stage fright’ so I’ve decided to post whatever art I feel like because I need to stop feeling like my art isn’t worth seeing because it is ‘just for fun’, ‘childish’, etc. I love seeing art like that from other people so why should I feel any different about my own art.
If you like my works, like reblog, show your grandma, keep them to yourself, make your own inspired art, do whatever the f**& you want 💜💜💜 I will continue to do the same to other artists and I will never stop creating.
P.s. the first work is below. I draw these little ‘twisted forests’ everywhere (all the time lol) it’s just something I made up as a kid. I slowly have added more variations/species of ‘trees’. They kind of became a way to de-stress (ya know, the good ole’ “draw how u feel sh¡t” This forest in particular is actually pretty tame, but it’s the largest I’ve done yet. It’s 3 24x36” paper, and I used a combination of acrylic, watercolor, and black felt to make it. It was actually a part of a huge accordion book that I made for one of my finals last year. The entire book is actually 14 24x36” sheets and they were all separately designed and connected except for these three pages. The whole book was made to be viewed under black light, but this is the only part of the book done in only black and white. I will post some other doodled forests I have done soon :)
I want to make one on a roll of paper and carry it around like a secret scroll lol
