following what's happening on twitter from tumblr when i don't have twitter is the same feeling as following a tv show i don't watch just by seeing tons of post about it on my dash and ending up getting involved emotionally anyway, except that this time the vilain ain’t even hot

Tumblr’s Twitter account wasn’t banned with the others because only accounts that promote social medias get banned, and what Staff is doing over there is the equivalent of showing someone a used car and telling them that the frame is rusted through, and that it only comes with three tires.

As someone who doesn’t have a Twitter and only knows about all the Elon shenanigans second hand due to tumblr, it REALLY feels like I’m in a pub listening to everyone talk about the other pub down the street.

Said second pub is slowly getting more and more on fire and yet everyone is still going there. Hell, MORE people are going there just to see the fire going on in the back.

…I myself am very tempted to just walk over there and sit outside the pub to watch the entire building go up in smoke.

All you need to do is change your profile pic and post something, and congratulations you now have a valid Tumblr citizenship. also to you twitter users: you can't cancel people on tumblr. this is a website full of eccentric weirdos. We are so far away from the mainstream that tumblr struggles to find advertisers for this site. At one point tumblr was very toxic, and the toxic tumblr people would eventually move to twitter during the porn ban. Twitter + the pandemic simply gave the toxic weirdos mainstream power to ruin people's lives. politely fuck off with your toxic crap, no one here is afraid to call you out on your obvious bullshit like on twitter. We don't have anything to hide here and even if we did your impact means NOTHING here. If you try to make tumblr toxic again then you will not be welcomed here by the community. Behave.
