En cambio, se han abierto disputas que han dejado ver con claridad, en los últimos días, fracturas internas, y han dado cuerpo a los rumores de división. «Exigimos, de manera muy firme, que quienes aspiren a cargos de elección popular (…) su campaña sea una campaña chavista; eso implica que no debe haber ofensas al compañero, no debe haber ataques al compañero, no debe haber señalamientos que tengan carácter electoral de ningún tipo», advirtió el vicepresidente del Partido Socialista Unido de Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello. El mensaje, lanzado días después de la postulación de candidatos en junio pasado, lo completó alertando de que «quien haya tratado de hacer algún tipo de trampa» no es del PSUV, sino «de cualquier otra cosa». Las advertencias llegaron después de que, tras una jornada de postulación abierta, se inscribieran 100.975 nombres de militantes que aspiran a encabezar las listas para las elecciones locales y regionales del 21 de noviembre por el partido fundado por Hugo Chávez en 2007, siendo ya presidente.
