So, some of you might remember, but about a year ago I had asked for donations because I was short on cash. I’d said I’d post the next two chapters of TWIV in exchange, and I just want to let you guys (especially those who donated, I’m so sorry about the delay) know that that’s (officially) on its way... ...With its original two (2) coauthors at the bat
TWiV 1214: Clinical update with Dr. Daniel Griffin week 3. May 2025
tl:dr deliberate cruelty in action: Trump's fascist administration destroying science according to Project 2025
I was one of a very small team that trained all the Contact Tracers (and many Case Investigators) in the Commonwealth of PA from Aug 2020 through Jan 2023. I relied on TWIV to touch science-grass several times a week. Now, with Paul Offit (on Substack, at CHOP, etc etc etc), Vincent Racinello of TWIV/MicrobeTV is doing taking on the Very Heavy Lift to provide a window for people who WANT to know what Science Looks Like (in action). Hint: Science is a Process of Learning. It is Not the Reading of Finalized Answers. This episode—1121: SARS-CoV2 still didn't come from a lab—https://youtu.be/Sz2qFJmpoug?si=eLdHSHEvtgF70VGU could be the most important conversation you watch/listen to for the next several years. (You can also get it as an audio-podcast, but I enjoy seeing them all—plus the charts/tables etc.) Whatever you can do to touch non-Gaslit Grass for the next four years, please do. This one is my fave, and I'd be very happy to share my picnic blanket with you.
Would you read a remaster of The Wind In Visions on AO3

Daniel Griffin MD joins TWiV from a hospital parking lot to provide updates on COVID-19 diagnostics, clinical picture, and therapeutics, and then the TWiV team continues coverage of the coronavirus pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2.
Thinking about listening to podcasts while you chill at home? A decent starting point, or a great addition to your sub list... listening to show 595 as I post this.
