“What was Josh Lyman? A warning shot? That was my son.”
You’re a son of a bitch, you know that?
She bought her first new car and you hit her with a drunk driver.
What, was that supposed to be funny?
You can’t conceive, nor can I, the appalling strangeness of the mercy of god
I think I know whose ass he was kissing there. I think you’re just vindictive.
What was Josh Lyman? A warning shot? That was my son.
What did I ever do to yours, but praise his glory and praise his name?
Gratias, tibi ago domine. Yes, I lied. It was a sin. I’ve committed many sins!
Have I displeased, you feckless thug?
Haec credam a deo pio? A deo iusto? A deo scito?
Cruciatus in crucem! Tuus in terra servus nuntius fui! Officium perfeci.
Cruciatus in crucem. Eas in crucem!
You get Hoynes.
I dont think anybody I’ve met hasn’t heard me quote the Two Cathedrals speech. I have that shit memorized. I’m making it my senior quote. The entire thing. I will do it. I love that speech. That speech made me cry. I want that speech injected into my bloodstream. The execution? Flawless. The cinematography? Perfect. The writing? Iconic.
I've been watching The West Wing for the first time, and I love it a lot. But, because I was introduced to it through reels on Facebook, I got a lot of spoilers. I knew what happened in "Eighteenth and Potomac." And I got most of the way through "Two Cathedrals"... up until Mrs. Landingham walked into the Oval Office during the storm. That's when I started crying.
Damn, this show is good.
the brothers in arms needledrop was so powerful people forget that two cathedrals is genuinely so detached from reality it’s almost farce
Two Cathedrals snuck up on me as it does every re-watch and had destroyed my soul as it does every re-watch.
you can pry Two Cathedrals and Posse Comitatus from my COLD. DEAD. HANDS.
hello people of the internet. I've started watching The West Wing recently, and I just watched 2.22 - Two Cathedrals. the ending of that episode made me think of the song Mobile by The Mountain Goats. here are the lyrics:
that's all
