Red Sox 5, Orioles 0 : Boston Baked Birds - J.D. Martinez homers twice, drives in 3 runs & scores twice as the Red Sox win @ home, take 3 out of 4 from the O's. Martinez curls a solo shot (#14) around the pesky pole in right off of O's rookie David Hess in the 2nd, then adds a mammoth 2-run shot (#15) to center in the the 5th. Andrew Benintendi also hits a 2-run shot to right (#5) as part of the 4-run 5th inning as well for Boston. That's all Boston starter Eduardo Rodriguez would need, as he tosses 5 2/3 shutout innings, striking out 7 & doesn't walk a man, he scatters 9 hits along the way. The Orioles collect 13 hits, but are still shut out, the most hits allowed by Boston in a shutout since 1908. Hess gives up 5 runs on 8 hits in 4 2/3 innings, he walks 2 & strikes out 4 in just his second career start. Baltimore has lost 6 of it's last 12, now heads to Chicago.
