Basketball club!!! Lol i think you can guess who i made first. Don't worry he will be getting a redesign props based on his overblot more.

On to their vital instruments / Jinki Which ever you call them. Their UM haven't really changed.

Ace uses the cards in his deck as pretty much holder cards, if they absorb a VI he can use the card as if it, luckily he can pull them out to. He calls it joker

Floyd's is an old, broken compass that he refuses to fix and likes cause sometimes it falls apart, more so he's always having fun putting it together in different ways. It basically works as a direction change he uses it to change the directions of attacks.

Jamils is his hair piece tie thing. Like i said he definitely needs a revamp but im pretty much thinking when he used it the light reflects, creating many eyes and compelling the victim to agree more like a mind trick, that way hes not like super overpowered. Also their raiders because if on their own they cant actually destroy any trash monsters core unless ace takes a powerful VI or the other two somehow mange to get it to destroy its own core?.

Seven Minutes in Heaven with NRC students :

Yuu brought up the game one day and Vil and Cater insisted to play it. They explained the rules in details but of course everyone different personality leads to different results. Across the four times they've played, Yuu found themself with everyone from the main cast at least one time.

Diasomnia

Malleus : He's pretty happy to find himself alone with Yuu, he talks about gargoyles and fae architecture, and ask Yuu questions about human habits and his original world. It's nice, they don't see the time pass. They wouldn't mind doing it again.

Lilia : He talks about insane anecdotes from his youth and Yuu wonder if they should believe him or not. Lilia also tries to scare them off. It was weird but not awful.

Sebek : He spends the whole time complaining about how he wanted to be with Malleus and that being stuck with a stupid human in such a narrow place is absolutely ridiculous. Yuu counted the minutes untill they could finally get away from him.

Silver : He was pretty nice, asked Yuu if they were comfortable, talked a bit about pets and animals but he suddenly fell asleep mid-sentence. He apologized when they got out after the Seven Minutes, worried to be disrespectful. Yuu said it was okay.

Pomefiore :

Vil : He spends the whole time criticizing Yuu's appearance and giving him advice on skincare, haircare and clothes. Yuu found it annoying at first but Vil did say some interesting things after all, so it wasn't that bad.

Rook : He talks about Vil, or Love, or Hunting for 45 minutes straight. Yuu tries to interrupt him several times when he notices the Seven Minutes were over but Rook didn't let him say a single word and kept talking. They hope to never be stuck with him again.

Epel : He complains about the closet being too narrow, and gets mad at Yuu when they pointed out their accent showing up. Yuu heard insults they didn't even know existed before. It was disturbing but kind of fun.

Ignihyde :

Idia : He has a panic attack and Yuu spends the entire time trying to reassure him. They manage to distract him talking about videogames. They both play some game on Idia's tablet. When Vil opens the closet door, he judges them severly and sighs loudly.

Ortho : He tells facts about Seven Minutes in Heaven for a few minutes until Yuu asks him to chang subjct because they were getting uncomfortable. They asked Ortho about Idia instead and the young robot was glad to talk about his brother. He really loves him and it shows.

Scarabia :

Jamil : He mutters something about wanting to kill Kalim, but plays innocent when Yuu asks him to repeat what he said. They talk about classes and food. Jamil seems annoyed but isn't complaining much.

Kalim : Jamil threatens Yuu to kill them if anything happens to Kalim, but Vil and Cater convince him to let Kalim go. Kalim talks A LOT. Every anecdote he tells brings him to another, longer, anecdote. Jamil opens the door and drags him out of the closet after Seven Minutes, insulting Kalim and sending a suspicious glance at Yuu.

Octavinelle :

Azul : He tries to make Yuu sign a contract, which they refused obviously, ignoring Azul's insistance that the contract would benefice them a lot.

Jade : He flirts with Yuu for fun because he understood that this is where the game leads. He absolutely enjoys seeing them getting flustered and embarrassed, and teases them even harder.

Floyd : He teases Yuu OR gets bored from being stuck in the closet and decides to leave before the end of the time. Yuu cannot stop him.

Heartslabyul :

Cater : He waits for Yuu to flirt with him and rolls his eyes when they don't get it. He also takes lots of pictures. He shares school drama and asks Yuu if they heard any interesting rumors.

Trey : He tries to play the game and flirts a bit but gets quickly embarassed and starts asking Yuu about their well-being instead. It was a nice conversation but it was like talking to their parent, reassuring them that they eat and sleep enough and have no problem with their homework.

Riddle : He starts ranting about rules and how this closet should't be used for that kind of thing. He doesn't understand why people his age finds this game fun.

Ace : He comments that this closet isn't confomrtable enough so it seems pretty unlikely that people actually have sex during this game. He says anyone doing that must be pretty desperate and horny if all since all it takes for them is being stuck with someone for a couple of minutes.

Deuce : He didn't understand the game, he thought they were going to fight and gets pretty confused when Yuu tells him they should just talk.

Savannaclaw :

Jack : He talks about sport and training and lets Yuu touch his muscles. He doesn't get how this could be see as a sexual thing. Yuu makes a flirty joke and Jack doesn't understand it, he answers too genuinely. Yuu laughs it off and stops trying.

Ruggie : He steals from Yuu's pocket while they're talking, and Yuu only notices it when they're going back to their dorm after the end of the game.

Leona : He immediatly falls asleep and stays in the closet the entire evening and night becaus no one manages to wake him up.

Attempting to Logic Minajael's name

Now, as I have been so quietly watching the fandom's reactions, I have found reasoning for this guy's name! Credit will be given to a specific creator who figured out Minajael's first name on tiktok. These are mostly guesses, but I do explain them, so it will be long! Please read the whole post before commenting! (Note- This post has been edited since it's original post date due to a lovely reply below giving more explanations!)

Minajael, to my sheer glee, may have to do with the Aladdin sequels! To keep it shorter than my usual though, The Aladdin King of Thieves sequel has a "Hand of Midas" that thieves are after, they need something called "The Oracle's Scythe" to find it. Scythe is spelled "Minjal". Minhaj, a name some people have been renaming Minajael to, means path or way from what I can personally find. This could be referencing the way the Oracle's Scythe helped the thieves find the Hand of Midas, as the Oracle was all-knowing but could only answer one question per person. Now, if you combine "Minjal"(Sythe) and Minhaj(Path) and Oracle, you could get a name like Minajael. This is fitting since he is mentioned to be extremely smart, you could say the oracle was smart, or it could be more so be pointing to his family's magic. Some of this was originally found by "idanielions" on TikTok, so I wanted to credit them for most of this paragraph. However, there are some differences in our theories because I couldn't find the same meanings for Minhaj that they could when I was fact-checking and looking into it myself. This could be a fault of Google or different site results, I'm not sure. Please give their slide show a read if you have the time! Another reasoning of his first name was brought to my attention by a reply to this post. Please read the replies, I tried to fact check it, but again was lead to different meanings than those commented, though they were still fitting, which could easily be due to different dialects or changes in different area's that are not popularly online so their important to consider, especially since they mentioned being Arab and I am in no way claiming their wrong. I am listing my findings from it though. There is the name Minajl, which means path, the second part "Ael" was harder to find, I did find a similar word Ela, from Turkish that means hazel, which could relate to Minajael's eye,hair, or skin color, if this part of his name is from this. "Ael" though as it is,took some digging I did find one place siting possible turkic origins but said stone instead, and a different one related it to "El" or "Aul" “a union of tribes” or things like a country/nation from proto-turkic, apparently. So that part is shaky for me due to contrasting information. Combining these words could lead to Minajael's name again, once more being a mix of words to create a unique name. (Thanks to rinaseema16 for replying and giving me more things to look at!)

Tealrajah, now let's get the obvious out of the way. Rajah is obviously a reference to Jasmine's tiger Rajah, Rajah as a name, though, can mean hope, wish or ruler depending on the source, though these specific meanings seemed repetitive for the name. Some sources noted Rajah itself being a historical Sanskrit title for Royalty or very high ranking nobles. This is obviously fitting for both the movie and Jasmine's character due to the story around wishes and hopes of everyone, and royal lineage for Jasmine, by extend this fits Minajael.

Now to the part everyone is mad about, Teal! Now I do understand the anger people have towards a random English word in his name, but as everyone asks where it came from, I would like to remind us all that he is not the only one with an English word in his last name, while also not being an English character. For example, we have Leona (King-scholar), Jack (Howl), Rook (Hunt), Idia (Shroud), and Jamil (Viper) himself. Jamil gets away with it more because not only English calls viper snakes vipers. But this was mainly to point out English words aren't new and haven't been complained about till now, for the most part anyway. Ruggie does not have an English last name, but the 2 dark skinned characters from his dorm do? It's a bit weird. I think that should be pointed out/complained about first. Given the lack of reaction to these other English word-using names, when the characters are not based on English stories or cultures, I can imagine the devs thought this was fine, sadly. Teal in Arabic also seems to be a bit long, and they may have been to committed to including Rajah and Jasmine's colour. Thanks to a reply under this post it has also been brought to my attention that it is also possibly meant to reference a bird. The Eurasian teal/Common Teal. The Eurasian Teal/Common Teal is a river duck with teal on their head. Now, if I attempt rationalizing it character design-wise, kinda a dead end, but I'll try! Could be referencing Jasmine's multiple scenes with birds as well as her desire to be free like one, and the magic carpet ride over a river. Could be because they're trying to push the idea that he is a very calm character. Teal across cultures is related to calmness. Potentially, this is more of a theory, but teal could be the royal family colour for scalding sands since both Jasmine, and the Sultan wear it. Jasmine's mother also has that teal gemstone on her headband, like Jasmine, even though she dresses mostly in purple. Not that we would know because Twst hasn't looked at that! (Thanks to rinaseema16 for replying and giving me more things to look at!)

"Al" As Kalim Al-Asim explained, "Al" means he is the son of "Asim" and is included in his name. This is excluded from Minajael's name, and I have seen complaints about this. However, I do think it's fitting. LET ME EXPLAIN BEFORE YOU GET PITCHFORKS!!! In the translated lines I have read, he mentions not liking the outdated laws, and liking how free school is compared to his home. These laws he does not like, are made and upheld by his ancestors and parents. Since he doesn't agree with those ways, he could have removed it himself as a rebellious way of self-expression or even started detachment from his family(Since Jasmine runs away). It could also be his way of quietly rejecting his royal title, as he has lines telling Jamil not to talk to him formally, as he looks obviously displeased by it. I wouldn't be surprised if the school allowed him to remove it, or he simply dropped it from introductions, since he doesn't agree with the people it relates him to.

He's so pretty!!! I want his closet...*Sighs in need of money*. That is the end of my attempt at making his name choice make sense. The teal is still a miss for me, but I wanted to mention the designers, or whoever named him's reasoning due to a future post I plan in relation to Leona and Sunset Savanna.

Like, upon signing the contract and giving ramshackel as collateral. Yuu/mc goes to crowely and is like "can I rename the dorm? Azul has it the building known as ramshackle against me. But if the building doesn't exist anymore then is the contract even valid?"

Another thing, are the 200+ people who made a deal with azul even getting paid? Like they r working at the lounge but r they getting minimum wage or not???? Another loop hole is to sue azul for withholding wages and worker endangerment

I love the resentful yuu idea but you gotta remember these are villains. They won't be sorry for what happened, they only view the overblot as an 'embarrassing' moment of their life. Also yuu wasn't with them for large part of their life. If we're talking canon, why should they feel sorry for someone they barely even know?

The overblot characters are proud, vain and arrogant little creatures. You'd notice that maaayybeee apart from malleus, idia and vil, the others only learned to 'tone down' their villainy. (Spoilers if you haven't seen book 7.5) You can even see Jamil entertaining the idea not just throwing kalim out of the position as housewarden, but also screwing up the entire asim family.

Now, if we're talking about yandere twst cast, or a in game yuu who made a deeper impact on these characters, resentful yuu would hit on the mark. If you want to read something of sorts, I'd recommend shiny jr's imposter au (it's yandere)

Another thing that comes to mind is 'smile now dear it's sunrise' from ao3. But the fic hasn't updated for years now i think

I like this! I should clarify, the intended idea of that post was not for Yuu to be resentful or hateful, though I do think (depending on the person, ofc) that’s it’s a possibility for them to be angry.

The original idea of the post was showing that Yuu is scared of the overblotters and things that remind them of the overblots. Yuu has every right to be angry about the situation. but that’s not my focus. Yuu is traumatized.

The simple fact about everything that happens is that you experienced traumatic events. As such, it wouldn’t be a huge shocker if developed a fear of things relating to those events, or even PTSD.

The boys are most definitely still not great people. Nothing changes that. But that doesn’t mean that Yuu has the mental fortitude to withstand all the distress associated with coming to an entirely new world, having to figure out a living situation, cope with things they thought were myth actually being real in this world, dealing with overblots, and having to process all the events surrounding the overblots.

Besides, I’m typically a more fear-based person than a resentful one, so I’m kind of projecting with this Yuu. I may have bonded with the boys, but I would inevitably still have a deep rooted fear of them, no matter how much I wish I didn’t.
