Seastars kids (Toryn/Vil)

So far, they have two kids. Aster (who they have around 32-ish) and Orion (who they have a bit over three years later).

I think way too much about this family and they are my babies. Feel free to ask or comment about them. I haven’t drawn the kids yet, but here is their tomodachi life miis.

I’ll try my best not to make their descriptions too long, but sorry if I go overboard lol.

Aster:

Aster looks a lot like a mini Toryn except for getting Vil’s eye color and the black parts of her hair coming up more like Vil’s than being at the tips like Toryn’s. She also got the sharp Leech teeth (which I headcanon is serrated). She also tends to keep her hair long and wears a headband occasionally to be like her dad.

Aster’s got a lot of energy. Not as in she’s constantly bouncing off the walls, but she can talk for hours and is constantly coming up with ideas. She’s also quite bubbly and outgoing, getting decently popular in school. If you want a friend who’s chill for almost any fun adventure, she’s the one you want.

Though it’s not fully obvious when she’s young, Aster definitely has Vil’s determination and some of his perfectionism. It becomes far more obvious as she grows. It’s at the strongest in her late teens and early twenties, kind of like Vil.

Aster isn’t necessarily a heavily family focused person, but she still doesn’t take kindly to others messing with her family.

Definitely cuddly. While I don’t think it’s to the full strength of Toryn, Aster definitely known for being cuddly. She likes to give quick hugs as hellos and goodbyes. She also likes to hold people’s hands when walking together. When she was an infant, she didn’t like being put down and only begrudgingly accepted it if there was still physical contact. (She got better about it around the time she learned to sit. Because that discovery was far more important and interesting.)

A more sensory focused person. Also someone who has to do something to fully understand it.

Orion:

Orion definitely looks closest to Vil, but got the Leech teeth and the purple parts of his hair only fade in at the tips. He often wears something on his head, partly to be like his dad but also partly for anxiety (often, but not 24/7). Currently he has Vil’s purple eyes, but I’m toying with the idea of giving him heterochromia, specifically central heterochromia, so he’ll have some gold in his eyes too.

Orion is creative and good with thinking outside the box, but in a more thoughtful and chill way. He’s usually a very low energy person, but any excess energy he has often turns anxious. He struggles a lot with anxiety for all of his childhood.

Orion struggled a lot with separation anxiety as a child. He truly only could consistently deal with separation from his parents around 7, but it still stayed in a minor amount until he was roughly 13. It did get in the way of some things, but Toryn and Vil did a lot of work on it with him. He even got some help with therapy.

Orion is actually quite close to a mini Toryn in temperament. He’s a bit more logical and thought-out than Toryn, but he definitely got Toryn’s heart and will do anything to be there for those he cares about. Even putting them above himself. He was also one to cry when hero’s in books or shows had something bad happen to him. And no he doesn’t still do that, you’re lying!

Very family focused. You cannot pry family away from being the most important thing to Orion. If you want anything to do with him, you better get along well with his family. He holds all his family members in high regards. And though friends aren’t exactly family, he is extremely protective over them as well. He might struggle with getting attention on himself, but he won’t hesitate if you go after anyone he cares for.

Extremely cuddly. While Orion is more selective about any physical affection, he almost always wants a hug or a cuddle. Especially from his direct family members. And if you cuddle with him, you’re cuddling for a good few minutes at minimum.

Orion wants to be like his family a lot. And though he is an excellent writer and he does value his family’s creativity, he puts that passion down viewing it as hiding behind words on a page compared to the boldness of an actor or athlete. But eventually he comes to terms with the idea of not needing to match their greatness and becomes very proud of his work.

Extra:

Both siblings have quite a good relationship. They do bicker occasionally and don’t really understand each other, but their relationship is very peaceful.

They both learned from their parents early on how to care for their bodies, so they’re great with taking care of themselves. From exercise to things such as skin care. They aren’t as intense about it as their parents though. And ofc, their parents did do their best to teach them a healthy balance of focusing on health and having fun.

They also both know how to surf a slight bit. Neither are anywhere near the level of professional, but it’s a fun hobby for them. And they aren’t both very versed in water safety. Toryn made absolute sure, even if they’re both mers.

Neither kid is as tall as Toryn (6’6) but they’re both taller than Vil (6’0). Aster is the taller one out of the two. And I don’t have any specific heights in mind, but 6’4 Aster and 6’2 Orion feels accurate. (So just every two inches lol)

They’re both moray eels in their mer forms. I haven’t fully decided on Orion’s appearance though, such as keeping the blue and green colors despite the hair or making him more purple. Aster, on the other hand, will look like you’d expect.

Toryn took the last name Schoenheit, so both kids have it as well, but they also will both call themselves a Leech as a way to say they’re also part of that side of the family as well. (Both sides of the family are very close and interact very well, especially once the kids came.)

Livia: Don't need that.. *Climbs onto Orion's back, her eyes narrowed* I got this handled...

Riddle: Liv, you need a saddle and reins, don't ride the stallion without-

Livia: *Takes off in a blur of speed on her stallion, staying sturdy on his back as she held onto his mane*

Livia: *Grins widely* COME ON, ORION!!

Orion: *Gallops full speed, moving in a blur of hooves and dust*

Livia: *Grins, her hair flying behind her*

Riddle: *Squints his eyes, trying to see them* That stallion is moving so fast...

Silver: *Smiles* And Liv is being a pro as usual..

Sebek: HAH! Of course my lady is a pro! She's been riding wild horses since she was nine!

Riddle: WAIT WHAT?! RIDING WILD HORSES, ISN'T THAT DANGEROUS!!?

Sebek: Not for her! *Smirks proudly* Livia has a very strong affinity with wild animals, most usually wild horses!

Livia: *Rides past, leaning forward as Orion ran around the barrels*

Riddle: Think she can give me a few tips..?

Sebek: That's why she's the one most call when it comes to horses! She's a keen expert, so of course she can!

Orion: *Slows down to a stop, taking a few steps towards the fence*

Livia: *Smiles at them* Do I need a saddle and reins now?

Silver: *Chuckles* Of course not, Liv..

Livia: *Grins* Good!

Livia: Come on, Orion!

Orion: *Gallops away through the cleared course*

Silver: *Smiles, watching her go*

Livia: *Stands beside Orion, flicking her tail*

Orion: *Looks at his mother and father, glancing down at Livia*

Orla: Princess Livia, representative for the Valley of Thorns, I-I here by banish you...

Orla: *Glances at the council staring at her, starting to sweat* I-I...I uh...

Venus: *Looks at her concerned* Honey?

Orla: I-I h-here by banish you to....t-the M-Monster Woods....

Orion: *Stares in shock* Mother-

Guard A: GRAB HER! THROW HER TO THE MONSTERS!!

Orion: *Grabs Livias arm, summoning his sun sword* STAY BACK!! GET AWAY FROM US!

Livia: *Shoves a maid away* GET AWAY FROM ME!!

Orion: STOP!!!

Maya: *Tackles Orion down, holding him back* Orion don't, they'll turn on you as well!!

Orion: LEAVE HER ALONE!!!

Livia: *Snarls at them, flaring her unharmed wing as she backed towards the woods, people surrounding her*

Livia: *Yelps, getting hit with a rock outside the head, a spear hitting her in the stomach*

Orion: LIVIA!!! USE YOUR VENOM!!!

Maya: Orion! Stop!!

Orion: RELEASE ME!!

Livia: *Shrieks as fire hit her in the face, forcing her back*

Venus: Honey, take that back! Take the punishment back, love!

Orla: *Covers her face, her shoulders trembling*

Venus: *Grabs her dress collar, shaking her* ORLA TAKE IT BACK!!! TAKE IT BACK, BEFORE THEY KILL HER AND ORION HATES YOU AND WE END UP IN A WAR WITH THE VALLEY OF THORNS!!

Venus: ORLA!!!!

Orla: *Looks away, fighting back tears*

Livia: *Steps closer to the woods, glancing back at the sound of growling*

Livia: *Snarls, forcing the glowing eyes to vanish*

Uranus: You won't be able to hurt Orion anymore, you witch...

Livia: Excuse me!?

Uranus: Everybody here knows you fae demon jaguars are temptresses who kill those who fall for you!

Livia: *Glares at him, fury flashing in her eyes*

Uranus: *Shoves her backwards* My friend will be released from your spell!!

Livia: *Glares at Uranus then stands up to her full height* ORION!!!!!!!

Livia: THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU!! THEY WANT TO CONTROL YOU AS THE FUTURE KING!!

Livia: YOU'RE SMARTER THAN THEM AND STRONGER!!! THEY'RE MAD THAT I GAVE YOU YOUR OWN THOUGHTS!!!

Livia: YOU ARE THE FUTURE KING!!! YOU CONTROL EVERYTHING NOT THEM! DON'T LET THEM MAKE YOU A MINDLESS RULER!!!

Orion: *Stares at her with wide eyes, Maya tightening her arms around him*

Livia: *Looks at him* DON'T LET THEM TAKE YOUR KINGDOM FROM YOU!!! DON'T LET THEM TURN YOU INTO YOUR MOTHER!!!!!!!

Orion: *Perks up, his hands trembling*

Uranus: YOU UGLY WRENCHED WOMAN!!!

Livia: *Snarls at him, readying her claws, her ears flattened back*

Livia: *Shrieks at him and sinks her nails into the top of his face before slashing down and stopping at his chest*

Uranus: *Shoves her away, screaming in pain when venom hit his bleeding wound* SHE'S SATANS SPAWN!!!!!!

Livia: *Turns and runs down the path towards the Monster Woods, readying her venom*

Orion: LIVIA!! COME BACK!!!!

Venus: PRINCESS, DON'T GO!!!

Livia: *Narrows her eyes, rushing straight towards the incoming monsters*

Orion: LIVIA NO!!!

Livia: *Stops just out of reach of the Ogre's hand*

Livia: *Looks back at Orion* ORION! BECOME A KING THAT DOESN'T RELY ON HERETICS TO RULE!!

Uranus: GET GOING YOU TEMPTRESS!! YOU EVIL SPAWN OF SATAN!!!

Livia: *Closes her eyes and leaps into the hands of the roaring ogre, getting dragged into the Monster Woods*

Orion: NO!!!

Venus: *Stares in shock, his body trembling* Oh gods above and below....

Orla: *Covers her face, trembling*

Venus: *Looks at her* Orla....what the hell!?

Orla: *Looks at him, her eyes wide* V-Venus?

Venus: *Slaps her hand away then runs down*

Orla: VENUS!!

Venus: *Throws Maya off* GET OFF MY SON!!

Orion: *Sits up trembling, tears streaming down his cheeks*

Venus: *Gently nudges Orion, looking worried sick* Let's go Orion, come on son...can you move...

Orion: *Nods, still stunned as Venus helped him to his feet*

Venus: Come on, it's okay...everything will be alright...It's gonna be alright I swear...

Venus: *Glares at the watching crowd* Heretics....ALL OF YOU!!!

Uranus: *Stares in shock, his venomed eye bandaged*

Venus: *Looks away his eyes narrowed, Orion walking behind him*

Livia: NO!! NADA! NEVER!!

Livia: I am not going to some wacky tacky meeting where a bunch of naysayers are gonna judge me!

Orion: Liv-

Livia: Besides you know all my weaknesses how do I know you didn't spill anything to them!!

Orion: Oh you mean how you can die in the cold, how you can't go without sunlight for too lo-

Livia: *Flaps her wings at him* SHUT UP!!

Orion: *Takes her hand* Liv, I'll be right there beside you and you know that

Livia: *Snatches her hand away, looking annoyed* I still prefer Jack over you.

Orion: *Glances away his shoulders dropping* Is that supposed to bother me?

Livia: *Gives him a look, sadness and slight envy waving off of Orion* No, just letting you know!

Orion: *Nods* I see...so will you-

Livia: NOPE!!!

Orion: Liv-

Livia: NADA!!

Orion: Please-

Livia: UH UH!

Orion: *Stares at her then walks closer and looks down at her*

Livia: What-

Orion: *Presses a kiss to her forehead*

Livia: *Shrieks and launches herself up, clinging to the chandelier*

Orion: Now will you go?

Livia: FOUL PLAY! I CALL FOUL PLAY!! THAT WAS FOUL!!!

Orion: *Stares at her, his lips tugging upwards for a split second*

Livia: ONLY JACK CAN GIVE ME KISSES! I SAY FOUL PLAY!!!

Orion: Please, attend as a representative...

Livia: *Growls, her cheeks turning pink* Hm..

Orion: Please...

Livia: UGH! FINE, FINE!

Orion: Thank you-

Livia: But if any of those naysayers insult me I'll venom their ey- *Perks up noticing Orion's startled aura* -I'M JOKING, I'M JOKING!

Orion: *Relaxes, his aura turning relieved but unamused* That's not funny

Livia: *Lands beside him and folds her wings* Yeah, Yeah, scold me later...

Orion: *Places a hand on her shoulder* Thanks

Livia: Mhm

Orion: *Presses a kiss to her cheek*

Livia: *Screams and launches herself back onto the chandelier feeling her heart speeding up* FOUL PLAY!! YOU'RE FOUL!!!

Orion: *Nods, amusement emitting from him* Understood

Livia: *Looks away glad her emotion sensing wasn't off right now*

Orion: *Chuckles, watching her*
