Mostly a vent but also an explanation as to why the Seastars thing I promised months ago is taking so long.

In the most simple terms: I’m exhausted. Constantly exhausted.
I thought I’d be able to get more done with some medical stuff out of the way, but I haven’t. I’ve honestly had a hard time staying awake.
I know I’ve been open about always being tired and have made a bit of a aesthetic about sleep, but that just because I’ve struggled with it so long it feels honestly integral to my world and this is me kind of making it not feel so negative. Because trust me it feels horrible having complete and genuine exhaustion after barely being awake for three hours. And worse that sleep, no matter how much, fixes little to nothing. I have practically no time to do and experience anything before I’m too tired.
And I know I don’t owe anyone a project I made up myself, but I want it done and feel bad it’s been taking so long. I want to share and do more, I promise I do, I’m just beyond tired.
Didn’t end up exactly how I would have wanted it, but it’s not bad.
I also tried to mess with a new shading style in the second one. I’m not too sure that it worked out too well. (The more I look at it, the less I hate it, but I still need to figure out the rules of the shading style)

Green more means positive opinion rather than specifically friends, so it was used a bit liberally. Also, note, Toryn and Dekker are from different aus.
This is kind of their general relationships over the full year. It’s mostly an average.

Toryn:
Grim (has a place in Toryn’s story and canon, but there’s also a canon without him) - Weird little cat thing. He’s nice and soft and a good mascot for the lounge.
Riddle - I don’t know how he keeps Heartslabyul in check, but he does. He’s pretty good in club too. He’s a bit scary with how quick to anger he is.
Trey - Calm and level headed. We don’t talk much, but of what I’ve heard, he’s a good man. Also I respect him for keeping Heartslabyul and Riddle in check.
Cater - Again someone who keeps the chaotic dorm in check. He does seem wishy washy from what I’ve heard, but I don’t think that’s really bad. I just don’t talk to him.
Ace and Deuce - Don’t talk much to them, but I’ve seen them when they hang around Epel. They seem nice, but they’re also a lot, so it kind of evens out.
Leona - We’ve barely met, and he is a house warden, so I respect him somewhat. His reputation doesnt make me fond of him, but I am thankful the help he gave after the exams as well.
Ruggie - Don’t talk to him really at all. Don’t hear too much about him either. (Saw but didn’t really meet Ruggie during book 3.)
Jack - Don’t talk much, but he’s a good kid. I only saw a bit of him around the exams, but for what he went through and how he helped Azul, I respect him.
Azul - My brother’s best friend and someone who helped me a lot when I first came to NRC. Though there’s a lot going through his head, I just hope it’s all good.
Jade and Floyd - It took a bit to get to know them, and despite how different they can be, they’re both my brothers. I trust them more than I should, but I also know they can be menaces and I need to keep watch. They are both so lucky I don’t put them in headlocks as much as I should. Especially Jade for that stupid dream version of me.
Jamil - He does have a good handle on keeping Kalim in check. Or did until the winter. I’m not going to blame him necessarily for the overblot, but I don’t like being thrown. Other than that, I don’t feel much else other than he can be unnerving.
Kalim - He’s nice and friendly. I don’t talk to him too much, but I spent some time with him over winter break and VDC. He is a bit much though…
Epel - He has something’s he needs to work through, but I don’t think he’s a bad person. He’s kind of a little brother to me. I am pretty sure he looks up to me, I wish I knew how to use that to correct some of his more problematic opinions.
Rook - He’s really nice to talk to and good to bounce art and poem ideas off of. He also really cares for Vil, Pomefiore, and a lot of people. He is a bit frightening with his tracking abilities and how much is definitely is going through his mind.
Vil - He works so hard and never stops. He’s so easy to talk to and be around. He doesn’t show it easily, but he cares about people too, and he tries to help so long as they try their best. Not to mention how pretty he is, with the makeup, but especially without. He definitely needs more breaks, and I’m going to insure it. What? Love? We’re just friends.
Ortho - He’s sweet. A bit hyper, but fun to be around. He is usually the one to find me to introduce me to new games or just to talk to. Lovely to be around. I’m still not over the invasion though. Taking Vil and Azul while I was in the infirmary…
Idia - He’s kind of awkward and can come off rude, but he’s a good friend once you get to know him. We play games together a lot and he’s pretty generous to make sure I don’t have “noob equipment” for too long, even if he gets jealous of my luck on RNG. I’m still not over the invasion though. Taking Vil and Azul while I was in the infirmary…
Sebek - He’s dedicated and definitely good in club. He is kind of harsh and really loud.
Silver - He’s really nice. I enjoy being around him, even if we don’t say too much together. It is odd finding him randomly asleep, but it’s not an issue, I just try to get him somewhere safe.
Lilia - I don’t see him too much. He does like to jump out and scare me though. He seems nice enough. He’s close to Malleus, Sebek, and Silver from what I know, so he’s probably something important, especially with how Sebek talks about him. He’s also pretty good at being a vice from what I’ve heard from Vil.
Malleus - I met him and got to know him as my classmate before I knew who he was. He’s kind of intimating, but he’s also a bit of an awkward person. We do a lot of group work together and have become de facto project partners. He’s nice to talk to, even if we don’t talk much outside of that.

Dekker:
Grim (not canon in Dekker’s au) - Way too demanding and proud for a fuzzball. You can just tell him a small lie to get him off your tail though. He’s cute and fun to have as a buddy otherwise.
Riddle - I haven’t been personally around him much. I wouldn’t say I have too much to say about him. He’s good at being housewarden, though he’s easy to set off. He doesn’t listen to me as much as I’d like. I also don’t like how open he is with Cater.
Trey - Brother stealer. Brother Stealer! BROTHER STEALER! Sure he’s good at being vice housewarden, but why is he super close to Cater when Cater is just so fake with me? He’s nothing special, so why does he get the attention? Why does Cater choose him over his brother? What does he have that I don’t?
Cater - My older brother. We were best friends. You were my hero. I can’t forget that, and I’ve wanted you back for so long. Why do you keep that bubbly mask on with me? Do you not want me back? Why choose Trey over me? And why sneak through my notebooks, those are private?! (Dekker’s a hypocrite. Neither Dekker nor Cater know how to talk to each other so Trey and Azul get the anger.)
Ace and Deuce - Fun to be around from time to time, even if they’re both idiots. Fun idiots.
Leona - I’ve seen him in club, he’s definitely good and he has power and strategy. That’s not an excuse for being too lazy to come to half of the practices! Then he has the gall to boss everyone around and show off. At least he’s good during actual games. He did help Azul after the exams though, even if his goal wasn’t to help.
Ruggie - Smart and quick and a really good player. He’s also a good person to trade information with, so I tend to keep my ear out for job opportunities and food stuff just for him. I also have to thank him for the help around exams.
Jack - Good person, a bit strict. He went through a lot after the exams. He’s not the type of person I like to be around, but I’m still thankful.
Azul - Cozy octopus who’s too pretty and smart for his own good. If he didn’t try to upstage me so much during the beginning of the year, we would have been friends so much faster… But I’m happy he did, it’s fun to have him as my challenge. I don’t think Cater likes him much. I don’t know why. (Cater’s hate for Azul is the same as Dekker’s hate for Trey. Also Dekker/Azul is enemies to lovers.)
Jade and Floyd - Both fun to be around, though they’re annoying at times. I tend to gravitate towards Floyd more if I want fun and Jade more if I want a bargain.
Jamil - From what little we do interact he’s always in my way. He’s always there when I talk to Kalim and blocks everything I say. He also doesn’t want to trade information! Though I have to give him kudos for keeping Kalim and Scarabia in line all at the same time.
Kalim - He’s nice and all, but for someone with so much power, he’s naive and an easy mark. Or would be if Jamil let me close. Needs to do more than party. But hey, I don’t hate him. He should thank Jamil more though.
Epel - Decent player in the club, a bit hard headed though. Fun to mess around with.
Rook - NOPE! Nonono. He’s a good vice and has skill and all, but he hunts me and he stares right through me. Nononononono.
Vil - Strength, brains, and will. All together, he’s very formidable. In a good way, but also bad way for me. I’m pretty sure he knows my deal, so I’m glad we don’t talk too much.
Ortho - It’s a bit hard not to marvel at sentient moving metal. He doesn’t seem to mind my curiosity too much, and he’s kind about it too. I’ve done a few informal information trades with him.
Idia - The things I’ve heard from him aren’t the best, but I’ve also talked to Ortho and know how smart he is so that evens it out a bit.
Sebek - Loud and annoying. He always calls me “human” even when I’m trying to have a genuine conversation with him. I wonder if Malleus is the only thing in his head. I’m glad we don’t talk much.
Silver - Nice enough. We don’t talk much.
Lilia - He gets in my way whenever I try and get any information out of Diasomnia students. I’d hate him more if he didn’t stare me down in the most unnerving way. He’s more than he seems, and something tells me that “more” is deadly. Though, I have to respect his abilities.
Malleus - One of the most powerful beings. In the same school. Fun… He’s not going to kill me, right?

Remember that OC I made off a Scarabia NPC student? They got a full character revamp, free from the NPC cage, and they now go by Niki!
Oh, and not too long ago I realised I was a Jamil yume (platonic), so Niki and Jamil are also my oc x canon yumeship, ya. Their yumeship name is "Envenomed Tango 🐍&☕", they are platonic only, please see them as close friends/best friends as that's what they are! <- Niki is aromantic (romance repulsed).

Niki is twisted off Mungo the mongoose from Jungle cubs! A mongoose who Kaa meets, and they end up having a friendship despite being natural enemies!
Niki's Signature spell is "Breakaway the defence"
a spell that enchants a target into dancing with Niki in circles, focusing on keeping up with them, while at the same time getting drastically tired out fast to where they don't have enough energy to strike, and lowers their defence into getting attacked easier instead.
This spell works on one person at a time, and is the most effective on snake beastfolk, it works the best as a distraction rather than a full attack.

For two of the three projects I have rn, I have to design outfits. One of them has me design two. I know nothing about clothes or outfits. Worse is they aren’t just basic outfits either. And I told myself I’m not starting anything until at least one of the projects is done.
Technically, I can do one of them without the outfits, and at this point I might so I can actually start on the next step. (Even if that means I have to render metal as an alternative 🫠🫠) I can use the outfits for something in the future at least.
