A death threat is when you actually THREATEN someone with DEATH. That's a far more serious matter than a death WISH, which is an idiot saying "die" to you in a Tweet. Which, I'd argue, isn't that big a fucking deal anymore, when every other Tumblr user is dying and crying and getting hysterical in text over things, when they're not really dying and crying and getting hysterial. It's not even a literal wish for his death, not from most people. And again, the few who get that enraged aren't worth worrying about. You can't reason with the unreasonable.

Everyone knows death threats or wishes or whatever aren't really okay, but again, the person/people doing it are not the ones who might read a message about how they shouldn't do it and thoughtfully scratch their chin before deciding yeah, that's a wanker move, maybe I should stop. There are always going to be a few morons in every group (and it appears to be a very, very few, not everyone who's ever read a slashy Teen Wolf fanfic). Let it go.

My Input on T.Posey's Interview

Just so you know what I am talking about if you don't already.

Tyler Posey said some very cruel things in this interview about Sterek shippers and why they watch the show. I am not condoning what he says but at the same time he has a right to say what he wants.

It is important to remember that maybe it was partially a joke, or maybe that day he was just sick to death of hearing about Sterek or whatever.

I ship Sterek and yes I will continue to watch Teen Wolf even if he said those things. I also am not going to tweet my rage passive aggressively to the Teen Wolf Twitter. I will take what he said in stride and move on.

Shit happens. Sometimes people say things that upset you and sometimes they regret it later. Maybe he won't, but that is his opinion and he is entitled to it.

All I have to say is that we all have opinions, and people will agree and disagree. People need to get over it. Posey has an opinion, so do you, don't fucking hate on him because you disagree over something.

How would you feel, being the main character on a very popular TV show and getting asked about something that has nothing to do with you? Consistently asked, so much that it becomes annoying. Seriously, I would be fucking pissed. I would also be pissed that people care more about who is going to make-out out on the show, than for the plot (granted this seasons plot is by far the best of any) of a show that is very important to them. I would absolutely get tired of it, so much so that it would start to upset me.

I don't care "that he's been doing interviews all his life and should know better than to make a comment like that", or "he's old enough to know better than to say something like that", PEOPLE DO THINGS THEY SHOULDN'T DO. We are human, humans make mistakes, do things they shouldn't.

It's also his opinion, not yours. While I disagree with him and wish he had said it in a better manner, or not at all, that doesn't mean that I am going to send him hate or anything of the sort. I am going to continue to ship what I ship, and watch what I watch and love it.

Just because we have different opinions on Sterek doesn't mean I love Posey any less, I still love him and think that he is a ball of sunshine.

That being said, DO NOT send Posey hate. I don't care how much he hurt your feelings about not liking the ship, DON'T DO IT. If anything, that would reinforce his dislike for it, as it would anyone. It would also cause a lot of lost respect for the fandom. Because when you speak out publicly, whether in a positive or negative way, it always comes back on the fandom, ALWAYS. So while you may want to hate on him for his opinion, go ahead, but do it privately, not in public. It makes the fandom look bad as a whole, and no one wants that.
