Btw if anyone cares I resurrected my original Oblivion OC, Azurite the blue argonian. I appreciate the color sliders making it way easier to make her.

In 2022, my new years resolution was to draw more.
I have always wanted to be good at drawing but I have never put in the effort to practice. A year ago I bought a sketchbook with the intention to fill it up over the course of 2022. Here are some of the pages I'm proud of.
For Christmas, I got a set of sketching pencils and two new sketchbooks, so I guess I'm just going to keep going!
Idk any of your inquisitors, but I’d love to hear about what Dorian does for Satinalia with (one of) them
Ivnar is my Dorianmancer! He's actually part of an ongoing experiment in writing an OC Dalish clan. I should get back on that. There's a handful of stories he's in under the series on AO3 or the Clan Suledin tag on my Tumblr.
Ivnar doesn't really feel connected to Santinalia. He grew up in a pretty reclusive clan and regarded it as that funny thing Andrastians do once a year.
Their first Santinalia together is a little awkward. Ivnar knows it's probably important to Dorian, but he doesn't know how to approach the subject, especially with Dorian having such a rocky relationship with his family. He seeks advice from Varric, who assures him it will probably be fine if he just gives Dorian a small gift and spends the day with him at the feast that's going to happen.
So what to give him? Well he knows Dorian likes wine (Varric suggested it, even), but the problem is Ivnar is a frolicking hippie Dalish. He doesn't know anything about wine!
So he figures... The person who knows the most about wine is Vivienne. She says the only wine Dorian might like is in Val Royeux... Too bad the snows been falling in sheets and there aren't any shipments coming in anytime soon.
He finds Josephine, who breaks the news that although they have ample food for their feast, she didn't order any high quality bottles of wine, nor can she place an order that would arrive in time.
He finds Cassandra and Blackwall, thinking they can help him on a "quest" to Val Royeux to buy it himself, but they return to Skyhold the next day, after a heavy snowfall chases them back
He begs Bull to pull strings with the bartender. He asks Sera if she can steal from the kitchens. It's Santinalia eve and it seems as though Skyhold hasn't a drop of wine. Cole assures him he can find something special, and gives him a loaf of bread, because Ivnar has been running around so much that he's forgotten to eat.
So Ivnar goes to Dorian, and explains what he's been through. He has no idea how this holiday works, but he's been through so much trying to get Dorian a gift, and now all he has is a loaf of bread. Ivnar is shaking, not just from nerves, but also because of his awful habit of forgetting to eat when he's stressed.
It's charming, almost adorable, if not a little infuriating (because Dorian has lectured him time and again about remembering to eat). As it turns out Dorian didn't really care about going to the feast in the first place, nor about drinking wine. He really just wanted to make sure Ivnar was okay, and hadn't caught a cold while he was out in the storm.
So they skip the feast, and they toast the bread over the fireplace. Of course Dorian makes Ivnar eat his fill, but they spend most of the night cuddling on the floor in front of the fire.
So that's their tradition. It's a little silly, and very simple, and Ivnar switches it up sometimes by getting different types of bread, or including a plate of cheese or meat. Every Santinalia, Ivnar gives Dorian a loaf of bread, and they toast it and eat it together by the fireplace.

By popular demand, I'm continuing Fidgety, the story of an old nord who adopts a special needs orphan and catches the attention of the god of madness.
I'll post the chapter in full later right now I'm on my phone and don't want to deal with all the copy/paste.
Anyway enjoy.
That awkward moment when you realize exactly how lost you are.
I’m learning how to make gifs.
