I honestly am not mad that Shae did what she did. Their relationship was long over. All the people who went up and told Tywin that he's guilty are the people that hate him, and a lot of people hate him. She was just another one of those people and I understand that. I feel really sorry for people who clung on to that ship when Tyrion and Shae were arguing. It wasn't going to end well anyway so I just let go and now, I'm not hurt at all :)  It was wrong for Tyrion to fall in love with a whore, but the ship was nice when it lasted :)

In which I muse about Tyrion/Shae, compare Margaery to Cersei, hate a little on Robb Stark, and kind of forget that Jon Snow exists. CONTAINS MEGA SPOILERS FOR STORM OF SWORDS.

Valar Morghulis is an episode of extremes. Everything was either really moving or really boring. The changes were either fantastic improvements on the book or messed up everything I loved. Like this season as a whole (and like the Game of Thrones itself), there is no middle ground on quality here.

The episode featured the emotional culmination of many plotlines this season, but, as always, the series refuses to tie things up with neat little bows, and so the episode felt more like it was paving the way for the epicness that is Storm of Swordsthan providing the punch you might expect from a season finale. Last week was the finale; this one is where the dust settles, and the consequences are revealed. Emotionally wrenching, but nowhere near as gripping.
