Summary:

Catra chafes under the title of Princess sometimes, truly the Queen of the Waste and only held back from that title by the treaty that wrote every nation as a vassal state of Bright Moon, but Queen Angella did soothe the sting by assigning Catra her most precious knight as a bodyguard to help enforce peace in the lawless desert. Adora may find the inhospitality of the Waste hard to manage as a human without the insultation of fur or scales to keep the hot rays of the sun away from her skin, but she’s honored to serve the princess that might be the most distinguished general after herself. To serve a princess she loves is even better, though her quiet longing does introduce challenges at times. She has overcome war – she can shoulder the weight of love. It has to get better after this. She still doesn’t know why Adora has forgiven her and she doesn’t want to drive her away with her smell of all things. i have weeks 2-3 fully edited so i went to go edit week 4 and as soon as i opened the doc i saw what it was and immediately force closed the doc. i love the fic i'm posting wednesday, it's super cute, i had a great time writing and editing it just now. i'm not sure i can actually edit week 4. like i'll post it for sure but if it's rough emotionally. when you read it you'll get why i don't know if i can touch it again. maybe i'll be able to edit the other parts of it but not today lmao
