Jennu and Aniki are honestly some of the most interesting characters in it, and the direction that my partner @rockonfishboy chose to take, exploring their relationship through shared loss is really interesting!!! The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy

Spoilers through day 100 and a bit beyond

I'm really enjoying the game and am very surprised by just how much! I don't normally play tactical RPGs, but there's so little TRPG-ing in this game that it suits me just fine.

The common route was so wacky and a great ride. I was suspicious of Eito from the start in a meta kind of way because he was so eager to be the "best friend" archetype and was leaning very hard into it. I know that the best friend in these types of games tend to betray the main character, but I wanted to believe him so badly haha. After traveling back, I killed him immediately, both because I think that's what Takumi would do and because I want to save the story beats where he's alive until last.

Speaking of going back in time, I wish I hadn't stumbled across that fact while looking up stuff about the game. The actual moment was still really cool. I wonder if the "despite everything, it's still you" moment will be used again if Takumi is irreconcilably changed by his time traveling. I was vaguely aware that there were 100 endings (still can't quite believe that) before going in, but I had no idea how they were determined. I was thinking maybe it had to do with who absorbed the commanders' powers. It even makes me think that I shouldn't even put route numbers in spoiler tags, because the fact that there are routes doesn't get revealed until like >10 hours into the story. But then that makes it almost impossible to talk about the meat of the game. Can I put a readmore within a readmore haha?

I do want to keep posting about the game. I probably will start putting route numbers above the readmore. But like in a vague way.

i can't unseen the similarities of zero escape and christopher nolan's movies, especially interstellar and tenet. it may be coincidence but it just looks like nolan borrowed a lot of things from uchkoshi😭 i might be reaching but some of the tropes are just so similar...
