What you figure out at college
1. My wardrobe is actually tiny [how many times do you think I can wear this shirt before someone notices]
2. Making your own decisions is actually pretty hard. Like what do I make for dinner. Is mac and cheese alright for a few days in a row?
3. You don’t eat as well as you think you will
4. Rolling out of bed a few minutes before class start is actually great
5. I now have to put effort into looking decent 24/7 [hair and make-up is key]
6. You meet a lot of great people - you just need to put some effort into meeting them. That means go to that stupid campus event and actually go say hi to people.
7. You can still feel lonely even when around other people - and I find it hard to fit in with my room mates
8. There is so much more drinking and drunken sex than you would ever have imagined
But most of all, you become completely free. Use it. Set goals. Make an effort to exercise. Join clubs. And you’ll go far.
Introduction!
Hello Tumblr! You can call me Spider :) I’m a 24 (almost 25! eek!) year old philosophy student. This is my final full semester of undergrad so this is where everything is getting very real very quickly. I am creating this space to both share my studying/reading tips and to get some from the community as well. I have this linked to my Instagram where I post all about the books that I am currently reading, both in class and out. Give me a follow and introduce yourself if you feel so inclined. I will be following the tag #spidersbookshelf so if you want me to something specific attach that tag to it! Let’s learn and grow together. :)
Probably failed my first exam….. hope not *fingers crossed*
Rent in Ottawa with me?
Hi there, I'm beginning a 3-year degree at University of Ottawa come September and I'm looking at renting a place from September-April at least, if not longer. Are you in Ottawa too and looking for a new place? Are you moving to Ottawa? Do you have no real clue what you're doing but think that this sounds neat? Email me at [email protected] and let's get looking.
My GPA dropped from a 4.0 to a 3.77. That was insanely depressing, but I guess it's about time my averageness started to show.
