As beautiful as this early concept art is, I am eternally grateful for the fact that in the movie Diaval walked with Aurora and Maleficent as their family member, not behind them.

A sketch from early in development for Disney's Maleficent: Mistress of Evil showing the magical bridge from the Forest to the Ulstead Castl
Me: it doesnt matter, its a crossover that im never gonna do anything with so 1) no one really cares about that and 2) most people dont know the difference anyways
Me, spending 30 minutes frantically googling: What is the name of Aurora's kingdom? Why does Aurora's kingdom have no name? Does Aurora's joint kingdom have a name? Is Prince Phillip King Consort or Prince Consort of Aurora's kingdom? What is the name of Phillips kingdom? If King John still rules Ulstead does Aurora keep her title of Queen after marrying Prince Phillip in relation to Ulstead? Is Aurora the queen of 3 kingdoms?
Maleficent: Sorry I'm late.
Queen Ingrith: What happened?
Maleficent: Nothing, I just really didn't want to come.
So I'm rewatching MoE, and I just realized how small Ulstead looks in the flyover shot in the beginning due to the size of the castle. Like, in the few shots we get during the battle we see how cramped the streets look compared to the palace garden. How big is Ulstead without the castle there?
