Whoops!! I'm late in my timing again! (Happy New Year?)
Here's the mischevious Lock, by the wonderful @crystallizedtwilight!
It's been more than one year since the Barrel doll, I originally planned on making Lock for 2025 Halloween, but 2025 me didn't know I was going to move appartements TWICE, so now that my stuff's all in the same place again, I was able to finish him and reunite him with his boyfriend :)
Again, I really love her designs for these characters, I love that Lock is SPIKY EVERYWHERE meanwhile Barrel is a round boï
And here's a litte bonus based on these drawings:
Just like Barrel, he is entirely handmade, body was sculpted on a metal wire skeleton with Fimo and Milliput, painted with acrylic, all clothes were hand sewn and hair are made with acrylic yarn
btw, here's a highlight from the hairstyling process:
This is Barrel, by the amazing @crystallizedtwilight , I discovered her art a little while ago, and I just love her design for him! Funky little green guy!
He's entirely handmade, from his metal wire skeleton, his body parts sculpted in Fimo clay to his hand-sewed clothes.
He might be my last work before the New Year, so I hope everyone has a nice Holyday, I'll see you all in 2025!
It's been a while since I used one of my OCs for my dolls (I may have too much OCs…)
I really love her, I had such a hard time making her hair and painting her face, but it was worth it! I really wanted to make a doll with box braids, I also got my hands on some cool iridescent fabric to make her clothes and accessories.
Also also, since she's a summer doll, she get a swimming outfit!
(shoutout to that unknow person who gave away that mini inflatable flamingo ring at my local secondhand shop, I love it so much)
Details below:
So the doll is a Barbie Dream Bestie, they're really cute dolls, save for the fact that their feets do not fit any barbie shoes (??). This is why I had to get her Rainbow High doll shoes, good thing they look really good on her!
Btw, I had to DRILL to get the braids inside her head!
Here's a closeup of the bag, I made it in the shape of a floppy disk (old guy voice remember floppy disks, kids?), as I was trying to go for a vaporwave vibe for her.
Finally, her earrings and bracelets for the swimming outfit are actually phosphorescent beads (? idk how to call them), they look like little neons, so they were perfect for her!
Halloween's here so a vampire doll fitted the theme perfectly!
But instead of a classic victorian vampire, I chose a 60s/70s inspired style, because why not?
I also made her two outfit since she's both a working and party girl. Creatures of the night got a double life after all!
She was originally a Poppy Rowan Rainbow High doll, I removed her original eyes and used resin to make her new ones, added eyelids and eyelashes to really give her *that* 60s vibe, made new voluminous hair, and pointy ears that you can't see because of said hair. And ho yeah, sharp fangs too, since she's... a vampire.
I also made her seats out of a plastic sphere and plastic champagne glasses, and her little phone too.
The pictures didn't turned out as clean as I wanted, but I got nothing but dark weather recently, and the lighting in my home isn't that great, but I still love the poses!
So many things and changes happened to me since the last doll, kinda lost focus tbh, but now I can finally work on them again!
I decided to give my 2D doll that I made back in 2018 a well needed makeover and a new outfit, something yellow for the summer. Can you belive this was originaly a Miraculous Chloé Bourgeois doll?
Before n Details below:
Blast from the past!
I resculpted his head with epoxy clay, painted him a fresh face, remade his hands a little bit, changed his hair, sew him a new outfit with accessories (shoes are just modified painted Ken shoes, I like how it gives him bigger feet)
2D is an original character by Jamie Hewlett, from the musical band Gorillaz.
I've been a Lagoona fan ever since the first G1 doll, I am a HUGE fan of fish-people characters. When G3 came, I didn't liked the colours they gave her at all, BUT, it matched the skintone of one of my fish-people OC, lucky me!
Anyway, I wanted her to have some 2000s vibes, and I was kinda unsure what kind of outfit I was going to give her, and I randomly stumbled upon some barbie fashion pack from 2007 and it was just TOO perfect for her, so I resized the clothes and yeah! Fit her perfectly!
Also, I missed her original webbed hands, so I managed to modify hers with some with transparent acrylic, here's a closeup because they're not that visible in the pics:
All other accessories were handmade (excepted for the cd walkman, idk where it's from)
fun fact: that cd in her walkman is a miniature Aqua Barbie Girl CD
I wanted to make a simple and small doll for september, and since season 2 of the show came out, it was just the inspiration I needed.
So this isn't technically Jenna Ortega's Wednesday, this is my own design of the character dressed in fashion inspired from the show (all of the show's outfits are really cool tbh)
She's also a "Frankenstein doll": her head is from an Enchantimals doll, the arms are from a Cave Club one, and the legs are from a Boxy Girl.
