a useful ghost is trying to say A LOT in its runtime and it did feel a bit like it kept going and going towards the end but did I still treasure each scene? yes. did I think there would be more horny vacuum scenes? also yes. but I was happily surprised by more queer scenes than I expected. there is a character literally named and self-proclaimed Academic Ladyboy. um apasiri was excellent AKA khun thara (my golden blood). and mai davika is as gorgeous as she is unsettling. highly recommend

I want to see a women of my age yuri. The kind of jdrama unrushed style, the weight of mundane dullness of adult life. Her character has accepted her gender queerness ages ago and settled in to left it unlabeled, but it doesn't erase the loneliness that comes with not fitting in norms. She meets a lonely woman and they learn to find a beauty in fleeting moments. The romance builds up slowly in lingering touches, domesticity and tension that is noticed by both of them, but neither of them is in hurry to solve it.

Apropos of nothing, my wife advised me to imagine what QL actors would play the characters of the novel I’m planning. (It’s set in the U.S. with mostly white characters so this is more like if there was a Thai adaptation of my novel.)

It was just a fun exercise to help me connect with my characters more, but the longer I look at this assortment of actors, the more I like the thought of them starring in a BL together!
