It had been days since her team mate vanished, yes they had all searched but they could never find her. Their leader had been running herself ragged, if she wasn't in class during the day, she was out looking for the faunus.
By night, nothing had changed except for the frequency. Every single night, Ruby had donned her "costume", becoming the "Midnight Rose" as the media called her. She couldn't rest, ending up in many a botched night. She was losing her grip, losing her mind. All she could focus on was finding her, holding her, it clouded her tired mind, the thought of reuniting with the girl. The thought of telling her the one thing she never could.
Another trip. Ruby had missed the ledge of a building again, misjudging her distance and landing in yet another dumpster. "Oww...that was the fifth one tonight..." She mumbled..she was lucky none of the bags had burst..then again she was in the business district, most of the trash was shredded paper. With a groan, she hefted herself out of the bin, then fired off a round, propelling her up to the rooftops again. The second she made contact with the building's roof, she slumped down, exhausted, tired and heartbroken.
"Maybe I should just..go home...I've canvassed almost the entire city.." The mask slipped off her face, resting in her hand as silver eyes glared up at the broken moon. "Blake...Where are you...C-Come home...please..."
