They are a thing just not in a romantic sense? They were canonically pale for each other on the meteor so Terezi technically hasn't really been in a romantic relationship. That said Hussie could make it where Vriska is that “until” partner and they end up flushed and John ends up just continuing to be her antagonistic friend.
