Reading Uncanny X-Force for the second time now that I have some more context and the transfem read of Fantomex feels so incredibly obvious

#fantomex's gender situation FASCINATES me #I didn't finish reading the second uncanny xforce because it was kind of all over the place #but from what I did gather #the female brain is like... implied to be the real one right?#one brain is a sentinel. one brain is the personality weapon plus basically installed right #and the third is just. a woman.#their mother's comment at the end of “I know my own daughter” upon meeting Cluster in her own body. she knows #fantomex's sad comment in Astonishing that any time they deviate too far from what they were programmed to be they snap right back #the existence of Eva. a part of them that gets to live outside the body. also being a woman #and fully forming a female body after fantomex dies #the woman part of Fantomex being who Psylocke fell in love with and being her bisexual awakening once the split happened #at the very least fantomex is NOT cis #i wish fantomex wasn't stuck in narrative limbo so these concepts could be explored more #one of my favorite xmen characters for sure #crow rambles #xmen #x-men #fantomex #uncanny xforce #uncanny x-force
