So just had a thought that Bowuigi not only means Luigi is dad to the Koopalings but also Uncle Mario.

Mario suddenly being uncle to the 8 Koopalings and having to babysit them.

Just an entire game where Luigi and Bowser are heading on a retreat and Mario has to watch the kids, with Bowser threatening to destroy him if anything happens to his kids (It’s the first Mario’s actually been scared of him)

The first moment Mario turns his back the 8 kids disappear... the entire game is just him finding the kids, 8 worlds 1 kid in each world and he has to drag all the ones he’s found with him.

Mario fighting giant piranha plant while trying to make sure none of the Koopalings get eaten.

At the end Mario is exhausted...and the kids all want him to babysit them again

I feel like if Daisy and Luigi ever had kiddos if their own, Mario would not only be the best uncle ever but would be so proud. I can see him looking at those kids and seeing himself and Luigi when they’d been kids. Like the level of happiness Mario would feel just by being an uncle alone makes me smile.

Mario being incredibly fond of children and being a total natural with those is honestly one of my favorite headcanons of all time, and I love picturing him sometimes reminiscing about his and Luigi's childhood as well. 🥰 I have written down so many ideas for potential flashbacks, visiting the earlier part of their lives is something that always gives me inspiration.

Even though I don't actively picture either of the bros having kids of their own per say (especially Luigi, who I've started seeing more and more as aroace in my art 👀😅), I must admit it's a truly adorable concept to imagine and I'm sure that Mario would be overjoyed to be an uncle! ^-^ 💖

I like to think that basically every single child in his periphery would call him by that term of endearment, and that wherever he'd go, there would always be a small flock of younglings at his heels happily skipping and bounding along, asking him to play with them. 🤭😁

Mario is bowser jr.’s uncle and it is very strongly shown in bowsers fury

I got this idea from bowsers fury, that maybe Luigi was hurt or upset by something or someone ( maybe he just felt overshadowed by Mario idk) which combined with bowser jr’s corrupted black paint, threw bowser into a rage. Then bowser jr goes to find mario which is weird because other people are just as strong, he could’ve gone to Luigi or peach or the wizard dude, but instead he went to mario. Maybe peach was busy or wouldn’t help because it put her kingdom in danger, maybe he didn’t want Luigi to see his dad like that or saw he was already upset.maybe the wizard was on vacation. Idk and idc but of all role he went to his dads boyfriend/husbands brother to ask for help. And they just adventure together and hang out and Mario in the game just kinda gives me the vibes of the fun uncle. Maybe afterwards they all had brunch idk but I just love them. He’d also have connections to help bowser jr become a famous artist in the future.
