You can pry the headcannon that Paul is Richie's uncle from my cold, dead hands. I've also decided that the reason Paul 'had' to go see the production of Godspell at the rec center is because Ruth worked on the sets for it and Richie insisted they go to support his bestie.

Richie Lipschitz washing his binder in the bathroom sink, but he needs to sneak detergent from the washing machine and he is so loud about it

Like Paul will be in the living room and Richie will be stumbling around, opening and closing the bathroom door, and dropping the bottle of detergent before locking himself in the bathroom for the next half hour

Paul doesn't find the ruckus unusual, seeing as it happens every week, but he just calls out to Richie and tells him to be careful before going back to whatever he was doing

Headcanon/AU for Richie that whilst he’s a nerd, he’s not a nerd like Peter. In the sense that, he really isn’t all that good when it comes to school work. Imagine:

• A Richie that can make time for his interests all day, but who struggles to even get an hour of studying in.

• A Richie that knows he‘s okay with work when he does it, but can never actually motivate himself to do it, unless he’s stressed.

• A Richie that feels like shit around Pete, who has one of the best GPA’s in school, whilst his is getting brought down every week.

• A Richie that wonders how he’s even related to Paul, since he seems to easily hardworking and good at what he does, when he can’t motivate himself to even get up in the morning.

• A Richie that feels stupid when he actually tries to work, he’s missed so much by not paying attention in class that he has to start from scratch in some areas.

• A Richie that’s seen as this smart nerd, everyone assumes he has a high GPA and does all his work perfectly, because he used to be good with work. His parents also think so, because he stopped bringing home report cards after the first bad one he got.

• A Richie everyone praises for doing so much at school, but who knows he doesn’t deserve their praise because he really isn’t doing as much as he should.

Watching TGWDLM is made much sadder if you hc Paul and Richie related.

I've seen people be like "the reason Ted is abrasive toward Bill about Alice is because he know Pete is already dead," and it's like, yeah totally.

But Paul goes with Bill to save Alice because he couldn't save Richie (and Trevor).

They’ve snapped all the tracks into place, and Paul and Jonah are currently setting up the train station and the little dinosaur figurines around the tracks while Carlos puts the batteries in the engine.

“Okay,” TK says, voice carrying from where he and Asha have just reached the top of the stairs. He’s carrying mineral waters for himself and Carlos, and a juice cup for Jonah. Asha’s behind him with beers for herself and Paul. “Let’s see this train set!”

“This is actually really cool,” Asha says, hand grazing Paul’s upper back as she passes behind him before dropping onto the couch while TK takes a seat on the floor across the track from Carlos and Jonah.

“It is,” TK agrees, setting the drinks to the side so he can adjust one of the little dinosaurs. “Thanks guys, definitely not necessary to bring a present every time you come over, but I can see this’ll be a lot of fun for him.” His eyes crinkle at the corners like they always do when he’s feeling snarky comment coming on. “And for Carlos.”

“Hey,” Paul shrugs, ruffling Jonah’s hair with one big hand, smiling when it elicits a giggle from the boy. “What’s a godfather for, if not spoiling my favorite godson?”

“Sure,” Carlos laughs as he sets the engine on the track and turns it on, watching Jonah’s eyes light up as he tracks its movement once it begins chugging around the loop.
