Day 2 of art hahaha, here’s Uncle Theodore! ✨
I love Thurl Ravenscroft he’s so cool.
Apologizes on the lack of posts, just been lazy fhjshd
More genderbends tho
Uncle Theodore’s bust is represented broken to correct a technical mistake. The sculpt isn’t symetrical around his necktie and shoulders. The projection couldn’t perfectly fit. So Imagineers decided to cut his head off and tilt the face projection. In Phantom Manor, he isn’t broken but he stands tilted on the right to fix his asymetrical projection.
***
What are your thoughts on the singing heads from the live action Haunted Mansion movie starring Eddie Murphy? Do you have any headcanon ideas, or are they just there in the background?
They sadly are annoying and useless in that movie, like mosr ghosts. I do like the movie but let's be honest it's just a guilty pleasure and it's not a masterpiece at all and it didn't do justice nor understand the ride at all and they are no exception, I see it like a bad AU
For the movie verse I have thus no headcanon, however for the ride I have my own headcanon continuity like all HM fans have their own. I headcanon they used to be a barbershop quintet even before barbershop quarter became cool, the idea that came from the lead Uncle Theodore was basically stolen and reduced to 4 singers after they died. They died all at the same time in 1877 after their river boat sank. Their ghosts/souls were immediatly imprisonned inside nearby busts in the nearby Gracey graveyard (fates of death in my fanon lore, either plain ghost or absorbed by some object that morphes to fit your traits), a broken bust held together by an "arm" for Uncle Theodore, and they have been there since then. At least, they are happy because their singing, which wasn't very popular (because not cool yet) during their lifetime, finally pleases people in the persons of the ghosts who always ask them songs, notably with the bop they created Grim Grinning Ghosts. Morality, if you have no success during your life, you might find later.
...Still be safe uh I don't mean-
