2. What is the strangest fact you’ve learned from writing fic?

It isn’t necessarily strange, but I’m writing a fic where a couple of the characters are originally from Australia so I wanted to come up with comfort food/treat where they would be excited to see from childhood. I learned that Tim-Tams were one of the most popular biscuits out there. Again, not strange, but I learned a bit about a Tim-Tam in my random search for my characters so I could write about it before ever having tried one. After I wrote the piece, I started to see how many people go crazy for them and eventually ended up having them for myself (before I had to be gluten free). They are good. I see what the hype is about.

8. What’s the weirdest reason you’ve ever shipped something?

Because my sister made a fan video of a ship she liked simply because she didn’t have enough media to put together a fan video for another ship she was into. She was a casual shipper and I hadn’t considered it until she put together her video and it hit me that “Yeah they look good together” and that led to me re-watching the old films and picking up some comic books and going, “Oh wow…yeah now I have two amazing ships to ship” so for everyone who follows me here we have my sis to thank for the blog’s creation because without her creative inspiration I might never have seen how great Scott and Logan are together!

18. Which scene from your fandom do you read most often in fics?

I think the scene I’ve read most often in fics is one surrounding the time period after X-2 before The Last Stand where Scott and Logan are sleeping (yes literally sleeping) together in bed as Scott is mourning the loss of Jean in his life. It’s usually a trope that most of us movie fans have read/done as Scott is grieving the loss and Logan is there to support/comfort him (and eventually fall in love with him). I think that’s the scene I’ve read the most often in a lot of fics.

Happy headcanon:

When Nathan asks Raine to marry him and she says yes he doesn’t stop smiling for a solid week. Even after they get married and she moves to Four Corners he gets this absolutely besotted smile on his face every time he sees her. He is the husband who will spot his wife across the road talking to someone and both go weak at the knees and run through traffic just to appear beside her and give her a kiss because he loves her So! Much!

Friendship headcanon:

Nathan counts Josiah as his oldest friend, and one of his closest definitely, they have a lot in common and such. But once Nathan and Ezra get their issues sorted out a bit (communication is key boys! KEY!) they are super close. Not quite the level of Vin and Chris’s telepathic conversations, but on at least one occasion Ezra has shot a look to Nathan across the room and Nathan suddenly knew Exactly what he was going to say, and beer promptly came out of his nose.

He can be absolutely hilarious and turn on a dime into heartbreaking. Underneath the outer jerk coating, he’s got a heart of gold - not that he’d ever willingly admit to it. And he’s very good at his job.

And how the writers often utilize the fact that he’s a jerk to say “if Dan approves of this, it means it’s not a Good Thing to do, so don’t do it”.

While he has a heart of gold underneath it all, he is very much a jerk, occasionally bordering on cruel.

It’s a bit of a long one, so buckle in. This is from Wheels of Justice pt. 2, by the way:

Him and Roz. They snark together, roll their eyes at the others’ idealism together, can be honest/open about their feelings (good and bad) together - what more do you need?

Dan/Harry, though the ot3 of Dan/Harry/Christine comes close. They couldn’t keep their hands off of each other - I have a whole gifset series about how much they touch! - and Dan is the most open/most often open about his feelings around Harry. And in exchange, Harry seems to feel like he doesn’t have to keep his “class clown” persona/attitude up all the time - it is an actual part of his personality, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes he puts it on even when he’s not emotionally up for it.

They have some of the best scenes together - like the one I quoted above - including one where Harry canonically tells Dan he loves him after Dan’s in a coma (the first time). And it’s clear that Dan wants to say it back, even though his allergy to feelings/admitting to feelings prevents him.

Dan/anyone in the main cast besides Harry and Christine, I guess. Some days I’m on the fence over Dan/Roz, though.

-random headcanon

He’s greybiromantic and bisexual - the former inspired by his “I can’t give” speech in the aforementioned coma episode. It just screams “greyro who doesn’t know they’re greyro and doesn’t understand why they don’t seem to have a “normal” relationship/feelings” to me. He once pretended to love Barry Manilow to rile Harry up one day. Instead of attending the floor-wide Valentine’s Day party, he and Roz bail to go out drinking - platonically - together as they’re both sick of the holiday.

He’s attracted to both Harry and Christine from the moment he met them, but it takes a while for him to admit to himself that he’s in love with them - around Wheels of Justice for Harry, not sure about Christine. They don’t all get together until sometime after the show ends.

This fandom is so tiny that I don’t think there are popular/unpopular opinions, but here goes - while I ship Dan and Christine, I don’t like how the last season handled them. I think Dan’s side of things should’ve had a much slower build.

damn, let’s go with richard (thorin) xD honorable mentions are andy (gollum) and ian (gandalf) - and i want you to understand, i like neither of those two charactrers, but i do appreciate the acting ^^

28. Funniest part about the entire franchise, movie, book, or real life?

uh, majestic thorin? xD and there was a fic I read ages ago that was i think sam’s diary and most of it was just notations of strider not washing his hair and then big shock when they see him cleaned up in rivendel - never could look at aragorn the same after reading THAT

29. What is your favorite quote from either the movies or the books?

i’m not big on remembering quotes, it reminds me too much of school days and how performative it all was *bleh* and it’s been ages anyway, but i guess if i were to re-watch it again, i’d remember some lines before they were said xD
