PSA since we are soon in back-to-University/high-school/school season
Nothing will ever be as important as your own life.
No grade, no diploma, no passion, no goal, no achievement, no career plan can be so important that it is worth paying for it with your mental and physical health.
I know it’s easy to throw it out there, and that there is a fine, fine line between “challenging yourself, giving your all, having no regret” and the glorification of mental and physical anguish as the only way toward a worthy outcome. I know sometimes it feels like a good gamble, pushing through it all like the results will be worth it, and like it’s the only way to do it.
I know the topic cannot be reduced to a few lines and easy, cookie-cutter answers. But the absolute bottom line is, and will always be the same : nothing is worth destroying yourself over.
