3D modeling in the dark, full brightness in the dead middle of night, on my bed.
Just as God intended.
Me as a student: I’m studying archaeology
Random stranger I just met: throws concerned looks, might even ask “can you find a job in that?”
Me as an archaeologist: I work full time as a field archaeologist
Random stranger I just met: oh my god I love archaeology! You know I just saw this documentary and…! I always wanted to become one as well!
Did this happen to other people too? Archaeologists, geologists, (physical) anthropologists, paleontologists,…? People fearing for your future until you actually work in your field of study and than they know no boundaries?
me, trying to figure out how to do school work without any structure or obligation to attend class:
Don't you wanna punch that one kid in this class that acts like a know-it-all just because they had prior studies on a subject you are new to and starts speaking incoherent language of that subject that just goes above you head and just does not shut up. BECAUSE RN I DEFINITELY WANT TO.
Let's play a game of "how many hours of sleep will she get tonight (aka in the next 12 hours from 6pm to 6am)". Considering the workload... My bet is on approx. 2 hours. We have (1) grammar summary writing, (2) grammar exercises, (3) kanjis exercises, (3+4) Dialog exercises, aaaaand text for presentation (5) reading, (6) summarising and (7) putting into a presentation. Whoever's guess is closest gets... Uhm... Idk an air kiss or something.
Also I feel sick from backpain 🙃

Hi Mutuals 💛
I want to let you know that after almost a year of waiting, at last, I have an answer: I got accepted at BSc (Hons.) Biomedical Sciences at the University of Oxford Brookes. I also got accepted into Brighton University and I keep waiting for an answer from the University of Northampton.
The wrong part? I can not attend because it is a huge amount of money I do not have even if I am working and with the scholarship they give me. I guess this is proof of two things: the first, people abroad value the experience and knowledge of a person, also their ambitions and goals and allows you to reach them. Second, I live in a country where they do not give enough credit to people who want to grow in academic and professional fields, and it is sad, that you have to go abroad to ask for that chance.
But I am proud that I got accepted in those magnificent institutions even if I can not pay for it. A dream that could happen if money wouldn't be a barrier.
Don't stop fighting for your dreams.
Even if I can not go, I will find the way to do what I always wanted 💛
And thank you for all the support, either chatting or supporting me emotionally 💛
