Hc's I've got for this weird creepypasta/pjo universe in my head.
The Slender Mansion is sort of... the point between the human world and the "Underrealm" (see point 2).
The Underrealm and the Underworld are two incredibly different things. The Underworld is where the dead go. The Underrealm, however, is the land of monsters, madness, and basically what you see in the webcomic Creeps.
Nico gains a bit of a reputation in the Underrealm - both for being the only human that Slender would never dare turn into a proxy, being the son of a Cthonic deity, and being the Ghost King.
Toby travels with Nico so much on little errands for Slender and Hades that he gets called "The Ghost King's Guard Dog" because he's so protective. And this only becomes more evident the longer they're together. To the point where Toby literally growls when people come too close.
If/when Nico and Toby were to get married, Slender swore on the river Styx to give "ownership" of Toby over to Nico (basically, Toby would be Nico's proxy, like, legally).
Zalgo isn't the king of the Underrealm. It isn't even a monarchy. He's an elected official. However, nobody's ever runs against him, so... he just stays in office. But hey, they've got free health care, a UBI, and a variety of other things I don't think I can say here.
...Zalgo sees a bit of himself in Nico. The Ghost King has promise as a leader. And he'll be keeping his eyes on the demigod.
Here is my version of the underworld finally. God this took forever
If requests are open, I want to know more worldbuliding questions. How common are demons, and are there many kinds of demons?
Demons
Demons are extremely common in both the Earthlyrealm and the Underrealm, but more so the Underrealm for obvious reasons.
Most demons don't like humans, or any other low-class spiritual beings that reside there. (And don't even get them started on guardian spirits, it's a pain in the ass to find a target only to have them protected at the last moment). So, they spend most of their days in the Underrealm, a place that suits their needs much, much more.
There are many kinds of demons, some common, some extremely rare. Some even lack sentience, which is much more dangerous than your common demonic con artist.
But these are more so categories than specific types or subtypes.
Amon
The lowest version of demon you'll find. Most can usually pass for a human with the right disguise. They have small horns that can easily be hidden in the right hairstyle. They mostly just make small-range deals amongst humans and other low-class demons.
Mabuz
The average demon that will come to mind when willed the word. They have average-sized curled horns, towering height, discolored skin, the whole shebang. Their strength is immaculate when used right, although they tend to be passive towards their fellow otherworldly creatures. They have a small chance of having a non-humanoid body, but it's quite rare.
No Name
Unsentient demons that are extremely powerful and dangerous. They will attack on sight, whether the target is of demonic origin or not. These demons are dubbed 'No Name' because they actually don't have a solid name. Once you learn a demon's name you can weaken them or have them submit to you, depending on the type. (Excluding Zalgo who is the complete opposite). So their name has been lost for millennia. They're also more likely to have a non-humanoid form.
My shirt finally came! Thanks, @garrettauthor!
