Aside from the fact that Nate isn't cared for or loved the way someone in his circumstance needs to be cared and loved, having actual emotional support and safe people around, I feel that he's no longer even capable of receiving that help, even if/when offered, at later point. It really just sucks to be that locked in place and outright doomed, which is why such hopeful things as WiS and WS are close to my heart always ❤ Eagerly waiting for part 3 🤗💋
god, anon, you hit that nail on the head. they really just took Nathan and said “welp, here’s one of our red herrings, let’s fuck him up just because he has a bad life and made some bad decisions” and then left it at that. I definitely can imagine him struggling with accepting the things he was deprived of (which I try to portray somewhat), but had he gone through the entirety of the games events and made it out the other end with Jefferson betraying him (and then, possibly, his own father being behind it all), I can’t see him allowing anyone to give him what he really needs after what had been done to him. the poor kid’s so fucked up, and they did him so dirty. the weird thing is, they hinted at the fact there was more to him than what they showed the entire time? but then, just… offed his potential for development. it was weird. (I still need to play BtS though, so maybe I’m missing something crucial here.)
I’m glad you’re eager!! I’m pumped to get something out, I just need to pick one and stick with it gdi

Out this week: Unended (Uncivilized Books, $24.95):
Josh Bayer’s latest work was prompted by a manuscript of an unfinished play he found inside his deceased father’s desk about the creator’s mother’s early death at age 37 and his father’s struggle with single parenthood.
