The Scottish actor Hamish Wilson was born December 13th 1942, in Glasgow.
Probably most famous for replacing Frazer Hines for two episodes of Dr Who in the 60's. Wilson was another one who started early, aged just 14 he started studying at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
Hamish Wilson might not be the most prolific of actors but he has of course made an appearance in Taggart! He also reappeared in a fan film production of Dr Who in 2013. Still Game, Monarch of the Glen, Softly Softly, The Vital Spark and the original Para Handy are included in his other work, as well as Greyfriars Bobby: The True Story of a Dog a 1961 film.
Wilson has also appeared in theatre and on national radio, he has also worked behind the scenes on radio, joining Radio Forth in Edinburgh in the 70s where he pioneered in-house drama production in commercial radio. Thereafter he made award winning drama at Radio Clyde and the BBC, garnering a total of 23 awards. He has been a juror and jury chairman in the international TV drame competitions across Europe, Prix Italia, Prix Futura Berlin and the Prix Europa
The pics show Hamish with Patrick Troughton in Dr Who from 1968, and a more recent pic.
On March 21st this year Tony contracted coronavirus and sadly passed away only 6 days later on March 26th aged 77. He worked for many years for the actors union Equity, the Scottish Secretary of the union said of him:
“He led a full life and touched many people. He was one of life’s enthusiasts and succeeded at most everything he turned his hand to. Time in his company was always enjoyable and often informative. Remember that mischievous grin and raise a glass to him. RIP.”

Running on 2 hours of sleep. Just want today to be over.
Tired. At work. But I got a hair cut
Went to my first Wobbly meeting 🤝
Missed the No Kings protest 😞🪧
This video really resonated with me.
I had to sit with myself for a few minutes to work through how much this video moved me -- and why.
I come from a middle-class family. I did well in school and got myself an associates degree by working part-time in the food industry. I worked hard at a union job, building up a good reputation for my work ethic and getting solid references. Then, I managed to get myself a career with the USPS, which is the best job I've ever had. I may have had to stay with my parents until I was 27 to do it, but I saved up my money and ran my budget forecasts until I achieved my ultimate goal; I bought a house of my own.
I may be aroace and have no interest in ever having children, but I achieved my version of "the American Dream." The realization made me emotional.
You can't be anti terf and then go on to spout absolute transphobic horse shit about trans men. There's a reason I fucking hate radfems
