I may not be into this fandom very much, but these weapon posts have helped inspire a lot of people so that’s why i make these. i sometimes browse the gemsona tags and see people use the ides i’ve provided. and that just warms my heart. so go ahead, reblog or fave this post to save it for later, regardless of your feelings towards this fandom. The Shotel is a sword from africa i believe. not quite like a sickle or a kopesh, but i think it looks neat.
The Manriki is a ninja weapon that is basically a chain whip with two weights on the end for extra punch.
The Bar Mace is the unholy combination of a flanged mace and a sword.
Warhammers dont have to be giant sledgehammers. there are smaller one handed versions too.
a medieval executioner’s sword looks pretty neat.
the Tepoztopilli is the spear equivalent of a macuahuitl
the Shillelagh club comes from Ireland, i like the idea of a war club with a spike on the end.
i dont know what this is called. but its from India and looks like someone made a kukri into a sword.
the Federschwert is a German longsword made for sparring.
and finally there is the Kelwang sword from Indonesia. looks odd, but in a cool way.

quite honestly these are just becoming general posts for weird weapons. i’m pretty sure a good deal of you who fave and/or reblog these just do it to have a neat selection of weapons around. and i’m fine with that, i helped and that’s all i need. Besides, keeping the gemsona part makes this easier to organize with the past ones. So regardless of your feelings about gemsonas or SU in general, these posts can still give you some neat ideas.
I have no idea what these kinds of bows are called. all i know is that they come from south american tribes and allow the arrows to be launched with much greater force than a normal one.
While on the topic of bows, why not look at the slingbow? its a slingshot made to fire normal sized arrows in a compact package.
tonfas are neat but what about a bladed tonfa? or in this case more like a blade strapped to your arm.
War picks are basically pickaxes made for combat. they have appeared across multiple cultures too. (this one is Japanese)
the cinquedea is an italian weapon often considered to be either a shortsword or a long dagger. looks cool though.
once again the Maori give us a neat weapon. the tewhatewha is a wooden club with an axe-like shape on one end. its also fairly long, so more of a staff than a club.
Jai’alai is a sport that uses these arm mounted scoops to catch and throw balls at high speeds. so this could be a neat way to launch projectiles or catch them to be thrown back at the attacker.
the falx is a curved sword with the edge on the inside of the curve. Not much else to it but its more unique than a typical curved sword.
throwing spikes are just that. pointed metal rods you throw.
and finally there is the buckler. an almost hilariously tiny shield, but its low weight along with curved surface to bounce away weapons can make it a good defensive weapon in the right hands. Or you could just use two and beat them with tiny shields.

The Japanese “Lunge mine” was an explosive on a pole that was made to destroy tanks (but also killed its user in the process. but im sure you can think of how a gem can overcome this)
the Bren is a light machine gun i have included purely for its design.
The Welrod (also called the bicycle pump) is a silenced bolt action pistol favored by spies (also probably one of the first silent handguns ever made).
The shoe knife is an actual thing. have them any way you want, a blade at the end of the shoe or some kind of retractable combat ice skate, its your choice not mine.
the magnesium lance is pretty much a flamethrower mixed with a chainsaw and a long stick
a “Zip gun” is a homemade pistol favored by people who cannot easily get the real thing. (lots of different designs so take your pick)
the sharktooth club is used by maori warriors (this is like the third one i’ve put up from them, they make cool stuff,)
The nest of bees is a Chinese weapon that is pretty much a tube filled with rocket propelled arrows.
gyroget guns were made to fire miniature rockets instead of bullets.
and finally i have this thing i found while looking for the shoe knife, i’m sure someone will like this idea.

the Ulu isn’t really made for combat (then again, jasper just has a freaking helmet to headbutt things with so who knows.) traditionally used by Inuit women for many uses like skinning animals and cutting food. (plus there is a bunch of different designs so take your pick.)
the lantern shield is three different weapons at once, it doesn't look like ti should be a thing really. but this would be perfect for fusions.
the “man catcher” is a very unpleasant looking polearm that was used during the medieval times to force nobles off horses so they may be held hostage.
the Chu ko nu is a Chinese crossbow that is actually rapid fire. arrows are placed in the box above and the top lever is moved back and forth to load new arrows and prime the crossbow.
sugarcane knives are a common sight in many agricultural areas of the world. they look cool and come in many shapes and sizes.
The jawbone club is a weapon used by many native americans, usually made from the jaw of large animals. one would have to wonder what one made from more exotic animals would look like (hint hint)
The cestus is pretty much a roman attempt at a boxing glove
if you want something a bit more modern, how about a handheld battering ram?
or maybe a chainsaw on the end of a pole?
