⭑Part 1 : Preparation
Before learning, make sure to prepare yourself, mentally and physically, even if it's simple as grabbing a pencil and paper.
Mental preparation can be difficult for some ppl and end up procrastinating.. for me I have an app that helps focus and keep track on my progress it give that motivation BoOst, but discipline is another thing and the key to even better progress it's your choice to lock in , I also like to have a water bottle next to me, a low volume background sound or music (I can't be let alone with my thoughts)
Lemme know how you guys study and prepare urself !
⭑Part 2 : Observe and Do
Take a reference picture(s), put a 15 or less timer, and draw what you see.
You don't need to focus on the lil details and making it perfect, it'll definitely look ugly at first but you'll get better at it as you practice the skill. do it as much as you need, it builds confident and familiarity with the subjects you are drawing.
⭑Part 3 : Learning in Detail
After getting familiar with the subject, search up video or articles that explains the subject in detail...break down or reverse engineer the subject ! look up questions you want or you should find answers about, take notes if needed.
When I watch video explaining about an art subject I like to practice in the same time as i watch it, it helps to understand better and learn by doing
⭑Part 4 : memory and repeat
I have different ways to keep the lesson in my mind
1. Take 15 min or more to draw a reference then another 15 min to draw the reference again but this time from yOouR mEmooRrRyyyy~
2. Straight up draw from memory then afterwards fix the drawing by looking a similar references this helps to know what I'm struggling with, and then keep notes, learning and redoing what I'm lacking
Ofc don't draw EVERY existing pose, angle and perspective out there, it's too much imo ! Study the fundamentals that will make you see and imagine it clearly
Hoppee this helps on making learning art easier ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ ) I'm a forgetful person this will be a way to remember hehe, tell me how do you guys study!! i would love to know
