A6. Two Reading Lamps Cast Soft Light
Two reading lamps cast soft light on pages we have long forgotten. Your hand rests beside mine — it does not touch, yet I feel your breathing.
Shared silence fills the room, heavier than words, lighter than a dream. We turn the pages in sync, as if we knew when the next page would turn for you, for me.
A book we do not read — the letters blur before our eyes. We have long since been elsewhere, in this fleeting moment.
Our gazes keep writing, line by line, quiet and clear: a story without pages, always already written.
In the half-light between shadow and glow arises what no words can hold — two bodies trusting in silence, two souls gazing at each other.
