"Two in one" I'm still behind with some boxes. So today you get two in one. I think the #upcrate40 and the #upcrate41 aren't totally not my favorites. I always struggle with charcoal especially on smaller surfaces. It's messy and I don't get the results I have in my head. It's amazing what others do with them. However my suitcase isn't so bad I must say. I hope I can use my vacations this year for some traveling. Even if it's only in Germany. The metallic pens from December work mostly great, but they don't really inspire me much. I use such pens mostly to highlight a lettering on a card or for funky details in a piece not for a whole drawing. I tried the scribbling style of the featured artist, but it turned out to be a mess as well. "Show who you are" Today I had finally some inspiration for the november @upcrate box from last year. With some other boxes it was waiting for my inspiration, so I can dive into them. I didn't use the bag from the box, but the bag we got on our #dienstagscrew get-together last October, as it had my name plotted on it. I thought it was ideal for this prompt. "Starting from Scratch" That was the theme of the October @upcrate box and I finally came around to do this. It's such a different way of working/drawing, but so fun to do it again after some time. I never scratched on a surface before that I prepared myself. However, I really like how you can delute the black ink and play with the different greys and scratch on top. I love the @ampersand_art scratchboards or this time clayboards for this type of art. As a motif I chose this Christmas Wild West scenery greatly inspired by a painting by Jack Sorenson @jacksorensonfineart I found on Pinterest. "Mystical Interaction" I had a hard time to come up with an idea for last month's #upcratebattle prompt. Especially as the colour palette in this @upcrate box gave me totally spring vibes and I'm mostly in an autumn mood at the moment. However with some time, this little fairy playing with modern electronics came to my mind. The supplies worked really well together and you could achieve a good range of colours by mixing them. I was really surprised by the #bristolpaper by @smltart. "childhood dreams/heros" Ich weiß nicht wie oft ich als Kind ich die Bücher "Hanni und Nanni" von @enidblytonofficial gelesen habe und wie oft ich mir den Anime angeschaut habe. Ich liebte ihre Abenteuer und Streiche und wie sie sich für andere eingesetzt haben. Wegen ihnen habe ich tatsächlich davon geträumt auf ein Internat zu gehen, das weiß ich noch. Ich glaube, ich hatte diesen Wunsch aber nie gegenüber meinen Eltern geäußert, da ich doch furchtbar schüchtern war.
