Use old wine corks to make a useful and rustic trivet or pot stand. This eco-friendly do-it-yourself project reuses things and gives your kitchen a little extra charm.

Ingredients: 10 old wine corks. Hot glue gun.

Instructions: Round or square the wine corks up so that the flat sides are facing down. Glue the corks together with the hot glue gun, making sure they stay put. Do not use the pot stand until the glue is completely dry.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 0 minutes

Pete has just finished upcycling this kitchen for a client. It was in very poor condition, having had about 20 years of use and a very hard time with the couple’s late dog scratching the drawers and doors and causing a lot of surface damage. Pete filled and sanded, filled and sanded, filled and sanded - until it nearly drive him crazy! His perseverance paid off and it now looks like a new kitchen, having been painted with 4 coats of Autentico Versant Matt, colour ‘Vanille’. They were cleaned down with Autentico OmniClean, and 2 coats of Autentico Versante Matt, colour ‘Ivory’ were applied. Is your kitchen tired and in need of a makeover? This kitchen was previously painted in white gloss paint. Pete removed the door fronts to access the screws and take the handles off. Units were cleaned down with Autentico OmniClean, and 2 coats of Autentico Versante Matt, colour ‘Ivory’ are being applied. I am getting there!! 😂 another cabinet door nearly finished - another coat - stencil - wax - handle and Ta-Daaaaaaaaaaa!!! Only two more to go on that side of the kitchen - ( two on the other side 🙄 as I changed my mind about keeping them!) So job of the weekend !! 1.kitchen. 2. Sort out chicken area. 3.
