Happy Wednesday Guys! Less than 24 hours in... and oh my gosh -- what a turn out ... Knocking it out of the park why don’t you guys... Ha!!!

Lovely to see all of you here and having so much fun already out of the gate.  James and I couldn’t be happier to see how much you all love this -- I may be working on an devious event 001 soon so be on the look out for that! Based on what I have seen -- 

Also, it looks like, from what I have seen on my dash...  the gavel has already been thrown out and the outlay of a situation has been born.  A situation that will determine the ties and the loyalties of the four current MC! so get your characters in -- they are filling up fast...

ALRIGHT KIDS - I got a big fat announcement for you! As of Sunday June 25th I this blog will be at LOW ACTIVITY. Why? I’m heading up north to work and I will only have an hour off a day and limited access to wifi, weekends included. I will try my best to be on here as much as I can but work comes first. How long will this last? Two months. Yup. I will make up a queue so some drafts and many posts will still be flooding through your dash. I’ll still be on IM and discord for if you wanna chat.

Dev Update #001 Gameplay Concepts

The first week of development has been spent on conceptualization of the plot and the playable character’s abilities in relation to the world. The playable character is a young woman with many abilities in regards to traversal and combat, and the environment needs to reflect these abilities without hindering them. My goal for the character is to make them not fully dependent on the environment for traversal and combat, but to instead provide the player with many options within the environment to aid in whatever conflict they seem to find themselves in. Here’s a few concepts I have written out.

The playable character’s most important tools will be a set of sacred masks that, when worn, will temporarily grant their user with the power of their respected kami, or spirit. These abilities will be interchangeable after they are obtained in the world, and can be used on a cool down. These masks can be used in combat, but their main purpose is to help the player traverse the environment, solve puzzles and complete tasks in the world. These vital gameplay mechanics mean that the environment needs to work in tandem with the player’s tools, but neither should be dependent on the other to heavily as to not streamline the experience. This idea is the first I wish to implement when the game reaches a playable state. The next week will be spent conceptualizing the kami masks and their abilities, as well as how they will work alongside the world they will live in.

I’ve queue’d stuff for the next 18 days. I’m going to try to get to more replies tonight but expect me to be pretty quiet over the next couple days till I get settled. I have a 6 hour drive tomorrow so bed is real tempting.

I used to love blogging~ but I stopped short last year, due to two main reasons...

Work

Work

Although both 1 and 2 look the same, but they are different 0.o

Reason 1 is, because since I started work, I didn't have as much time as I used to have, to the point of counting the ants in my room. But ever since the 8-5 schedule everyday started, I only have my nights left and those precious hours I'd rather spend with myself or on something more fun like COD.

Reason 2 though, is that, I work in a very technological savvy environment =) But this savvy-ness has its problems =( My very own bosses themselves know the nooks and crannies of google and every social networking site, blog, feeds, and so on. So soon after starting work, I was busted for posting work related stuff on my old blog, which seemed to be the most interesting slice of my life at the moment.... Hence, having being cut short on time and resource to blog, I slowed down... and soon stopped.

Now though, I've come to realize I still loved blogging, and decided I just need a place to write down my mind, my thoughts, my idiosyncrasies, like a diary.

I haven't been spending the time to sit down and look at myself. Now, I miss my own photography, my own thoughts, my own writing, what I used to do. So I hope I can start once again. Enjoying my life, even as I work, and make it a part of me
