Resizing pictures

Hey, I am super new to uploading on tumblr, and I just wanted to ask if the site normally resizes images uploaded. For example, my screenshots of Fallout 4 “photography” are 1920x1080, whereas when they are uploaded they are 1280x720

i've downloaded new gifs since the new tumblr update and they appear fine before i download but then when i go to use them in posts, they appear as a gray box. how do I make this stop?

There could be at least two reasons why this might be happening to you. It could be that the size of the gif is too large, I am not sure if they changed the limits or not with the update but there is a chance larger gifs may not work.The other reason they may turn to gray boxes is because you need to give them time to upload. With the new update, the gifs appear to be in the post but if you look in the upper right hand corner, there is three squares that show the gif is loading. This is what it looks like.

Wait until those boxes disappear and you should be alright!One of these might be the issue that is causing your gifs not to work right. -AJ

Ok why are all the photos I upload that I take on my phone flipped sideways when I share them? Really ticking me off right now.
