With Bournemouth 10 cancelled tomorrow I made the effort to get up for parkrun this morning. Upton house for a change rather than Poole Park. Bumped in to a few familiar & friendly faces as to be expected. Special thanks to @icanrunthis for the encouragement about half way & allowing me to sit on the shoulder for a while as I struggled to keep the pace. Slow start as always as a little narrow, tough middle mile, but pushed the last one. Not enough to go sub 30, but it is hard course & fairly close so happy with that. Busy day ahead, kids parties, shopping etc.! Trail shoes are still not the most comfortable, but need to couple more runs in them before larmer in a couple of weeks, last year I broke at nine miles, this year planning to be smiling at the finish. Slow afternoon cycle to Upton House, with difficult middle child. A walk around the grounds & a not as slow cycle home. Foot aches all the time. Even when on me bike. Not a good sign & foolishly stepped on the scales this morning. Didn’t make for good reading, up a couple, but not a surprise as I’m not exercising & enjoying a drink a little more often then I should be.
