A beautiful scene I saw the road to Ural mountains - burned forest overgrown with fireweed. There were a lot of wildfires last year, this year gave a reprieve with all the rains, so scorched patches are slowly healing.

Character-Sheet for my Skeksis Fan-Chara and her urRu counterpart. I drew this one a couple of years ago to help any interested TDC fans out there to know these two a little better, seeing as they've been around for 10+ years and even though they suffered little to no redesigns terms of looks, their personalities and quirks were slowly developed through time and I felt it might be fun to try to establish the basics of who these two are within some simple images and text. ^ ^

1960 november: "Egy elektronikus számítógépre lenne szükség annak kiszámítására, hogy naponta hány százezer számot dolgoznak fel itt, a Statisztikai Hivatalban. Ez a munka most sokkal könnyebb lett. Íme egy példa. Megvan a feladvány, előkerül a szótár, amelynek segítségével lefordítják a számokat az ember alkotta gép nyelvére. Filmszalagra kerül az utasítás, elhelyezik a gépben a művelet elvégzéséhez szükséges egységet. A Statisztikai Hivatal új elektronikus számítógépe az Ural, háromszázhúsz ilyen egységből épült fel és ezek végzik a számításokat. A gép másodpercenként száz, óránként háromszázhatvanezer művelet elvégzésére képes. Az eddig ismert számológépek segítségével egy ember csak két és fél év alatt végezhette volna el ezt a munkát. Ezek az elektronikus számítógépek nélkülözhetetlenek a technika mai fejlettségi fokán."
