A note on editions

I’m using the Bärenreiter Urtext. I already owned the 1st book in that edition and so I went out to get the other, which came out to £11.7 with my student/teacher’s discount. 

I’ll be supplementing this with Busoni’s study version (here on IMSLP), from which I actually learnt Book 1 when I was studying that in 2012. Funnily enough, he swaps the two G major fugues around - and gives pretty solid reasons for doing so!

Henle looks nice but I don’t believe in owning too many editions of the same piece. After all, I’m going to be splashing pedal everywhere...
