I have to say that the 2012 US Grand Prix was an overly classic and sweet moment belonging to Fernando/Lewis 😢

In an interview with Manuel Franco the previous month, Lewis said: “My fight for the title is over, I hope Fernando keeps pushing, beats Vettel to the world championship. And I still think Fernando is the best driver, the cleanest, the most sensitive, the most complete one...And yes, it’s true, my manager spoke with Ferrari.”

During the driver’s parade, they seemed to photograph each other.

As you can see, Lewis touched Fernando's ear on purpose. I heard people say that this means good luck in Spain. This gesture probably has context, because in the Belgian Grand Prix they were both innocently involved in the same accident and DNF.

“I was more worried about Fernando.”

Lewis expressed his concern about Fernando on this matter in interviews more than once.
